Unless he's got a very good reason for his non-attendance, I'm afraid that Mr. Jordan is the latest and perhaps the biggest of Jeff Ireland's many personnel gaffes. Getting rid of Ireland was the best thing to happen to Miami since getting rid of Wannstedt.

No explanation as to why? Was he excused or told not to show up until they figured out how to use him in a game?

Yes, it was a one-day OTA, and it was important for him to be there.

He really doesn't have a job. The coaches don't know where to play him, and when he is on the field, he is only OK. The guy has to show up and show everyone that he is going to be the guy, and if he isn't, he will give it his all. IMO, he isn't in a position to not show up at "voluntary" workouts. Cripes, even Suh, a guy who never shows up for these OTAs, is there.

Jordan better get his butt into camp and get working.

Get rid of him. Trade his ass before everyone figures out how worthless he is.

Not an option.

His cap hit this year is $5.6M if he's on the team. Its 6.7m if you trade or cut him.

We aren't cutting him just to make our cap situation worse.

We MIGHT trade him if the value of the deal was worth carrying nearly 7m in dead space, but that's not very likely to happen.

He is one of the biggest wastes of a 1st round pick for this team that I can recall in recent years, especially when this team moved up to get his sorry ass.

Yeah, I have to eat crow for praising the move at the time. I thought I was seeing the second coming of Jason Taylor. But NOT!!!!

I can remember last season Dion SIMS making one great receiving play for us but not Dion JORDAN on defense in the few years he's been here.

Saw an interesting article this morning concerning Jordan and his no showing.

Speculation that the Dolphins are keeping him out of camp as they are working on a trade.

Hmmmm.....

How about sending him to Philly for Kiko Alonzo and a pick or two?

I am sure we are trading him and equally sure at this point we are lucky to get a 3d rounder which im sure we will take. A shame since i have a feeling if he goes to a team that knows how to use and motivate him he will be a pro bowler.

A 3rd rounder!!? LOL........Maybe back when he had value.

We would be LUCKY to get Chip Kelly to cough up a 6th rounder at this point because he remembers the old times in college. Hell a 7th rounder is better then nothing at this point and that's where Dion Jordon is headed for us. CUT. Thanks for haunting us Mr Ireland. Lets put it behind us and move on.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

he has more value to us just as special teams player than a freaking 6th round pick. can't believe you would advocate that deal. a 6th rounder and a cap hit, and give up on the most talented (physically) guy on our team. where do I sign

Also 1 bad drug test away from a substantial suspension with ZERO value. Most talented guy Physically? Maybe from a body builder standpoint because he has shown NOTHING on defense and very little on special teams. He had value 2 yrs ago. some last season. If anyone , and I mean ANYONE wants to give any value for this Bust we should take it and run away giggling.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Hell, I'd be satisfied with a trade straight up for Kiko (and hope he doesn't get injured again.) Maybe throw a 6th or 7th rounder in there for Miami.

For a trade like that....Kiko must stay healthy and return to form, and Jordan won't play up to his #3 draft position.

Then I'd be happy.grinning smiley

Jordan has shown nothing on the field, failed 2 drug tests and has a big cap hit.

He has no value.

Kiko Alonzo was basically traded straight up for lesahwn McCoy. Why would they trade him for Jordan ?

Hopefully chip Kelly sees something no one else does because he coached him once. That's our only chance to recoup anything before he is eventually cut.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!
