Damn that defense is going to be dangerous... I agree with Dolph, that he still has what plagued him in NY, no QB... But that defense will be much better then he had in NY...

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.
Nietzsche
He is screwed unless they get lucky and are able to draft a star QB in the 2nd or 3rd rounds like Seattle did with Wilson.
No 1st round pick and an offense in need of a total rebuild. Once a great o-line has diminished into a bad one that can't run or pass block. They also gave up a 4th rounder to Philly in this years draft.
Da'Norris Searcy, Jerry Hughes and Brandon Spikes (all starters) are free agents.
I think they have over 30 mil in cap space for 2015.
Bad decision on taking this job. Seems like he was thinking about pride and revenge instead of making a business decision.

Rex Ryan is officially staying in the AFC East. After multiple reports Sunday that the Buffalo Bills and Ryan were close to a deal that would make him the 18th head coach in club history, today the team officially announced the hire.

Don't be surprised if Rex strongly let the Bills' brass know, during his interview(s), in no uncertain terms, that they MUST get him an NFL starting caliber QB, whether that be in FA or the draft.
Highly doubt he would sign on the dotted line without that assurance. He isn't going to go thru what he has the past few years with the Jets.

Rex motivated his team to a 4-12 record. He's as much to blame for the personnel as the GM.
The excuses made for Rex are what Philbin gets blasted for but you guys like Rex's personality so it's all good.
And some of you said no to Harbaugh because he's a control freak yet his record was amazing.
So as great as you guys make Rex out to be his dumba$$ just walked into the same situation he just left. What makes you think he's going to make EJ Manuel a pro QB? Greg Roman? If his guys play so hard for him maybe he should put together better game plans to actually win more games.

I mentioned in an earlier post that Miami's players have as much, if not more, talent than the teams I was watching in the playoffs. Miami just doesn't have the right type of coach(s) to get the most out of that talent. Look at some of Miami's former players now playing for other teams...they are playing very well.
Rex is a much stronger coach than Philbin; the players WANT to play for Rex. I was just saying that I think Rex could get more out of our guys than can Philbin.
Example...keep the same bunch of guys on Miami's present team and put a 30-something Shula in to coach them. Think they will finish 8-8? Hardly!

If we had Aaron Rodgers we'd be the best team in football.
That's not a knock on RT, it's just a statement of how good Rodgers is.
Rodgers is good because GBay took the time to develop him. Sat his butt on the bench for 3 solid years. Brady sat a year and the next year Belichek let him play thru his mistakes. Nowadays coaches want everything from day 1 look how many qb's have failed in the last 5 drafts. Some like Kaperknick and Newton are getting it done w/ physical skills. 1thing I give Phlbin credit for he has put the time in for developing Tanne. I hope he pans out.

Coaching is what you do with the talent you have.
Last year, as I remember, before the final two games against the most pitiful teams in the league, (Jets and Buff) we were 8-6 going into those games. We should have gone 10-6. We ended up 8-8.
This year, we were 7-7 with a chance for consideration for the playoffs at 9-7. We beat the Vikings and lose to the Jets again.
That's on YOUR COACH JOE PHILBIN, YOUR, YOUR, YOUR COACH.
Oh, but I'm sorry, when it comes to QBs like Mariota, it's all their fault but when it comes to COACHES, it's the players' faults, all of a sudden.
