True, Shula hedged on Woodley, but...

- Miami was coming off a Super Bowl, so the pieces were already there.

- Marino was a rare talent and Shula was shocked he was still there for Miami to take.

- As Shula said..."Woodley was an athlete playing QB, Marino is a QB playing QB" (or something like that.)

Today's Dolphins team has way too many holes to fill without wasting their first pick on a QB...unless you believe QB is Miami's greatest need?

Miami now has the 14th pick in next year's draft.

Ryan is a much better QB than Woodley.

Agree and as Seinfeld says, "Not that there's anything wrong with it." In fact, it's me who has been preaching that Philbin should recognize and utilize that athletic part and run many more read option plays than he did.

Another thing, I'd bet a significant part of those Stats of Tanny come out of the read option.

As BNF says, "Just do it and shut up!" or draft Bret Hundley.

I belong the the Ron Wolf school of acquisitions....draft a QB every year....or at least every other year. It doesn't have to be a high pick. I wouldn't be surprised if we draft a QB in round 4 or 5 this year.

Goodbye, fellow Boilermaker. I wanted us to draft you. Still think that during your career, you could have done us good.

Don't know why he can't hang on as a backup for a couple more seasons with some team. Good way to draw a paycheck.

Woodley had a bit of a drinking problem. I don't think Tebow has even tried chocolate milk.

But yes I recall Shula saying that Woodley was the most athletic QB he'd ever coached.
