Here are the standings Overall record left, div. rec. middle, conf. rec last
AFC EAST REMAINING OPPONENTS ARE

Buffalo Bills 8 6 3-2 4-6 RAIDERS PATRIOTS
Mi Dolphins 7 7 3-2 6-5 MINN JETS

Cinc Bengals 9 4 3-2 6-4 DENV PITT
Pitt Steelers 9 5 3-2 7-3 KC CINC

Hou Texans 7 7 3-2 6-4 BALT JAX
AFC WEST
Den Broncos 11 3 5-0 9-1 CINC OAK
K C Chiefs 8 6 2-3 6-4 PITT SD
S D Chargers 8 6 2-3 6-5 SF KC
AFC East....assuming we win out (one loss and even math is against us), one loss by Buffalo makes us the team FOR CONSIDERATION (not that we're in) from the East by virtue of better conference record.
AFC North..... Pitt and Balt must both lose twice so that Pitt would be the team UNDER CONSIDERATION from the North (because Balt beat us) but Pitt seems to lock us out based on better conf. rec (7-3 to our 6-5)
AFC South......... Houst must lose to Jax and beat Balt.
AFC West........ Since the Chiefs must beat Pitt (see above) Chargers must lose to SF and beat KC so that the Chargers would be the team under consideration from the AFC West (we beat them this year).
They can, but I don't think it will be this season...even if they did, they'd be smashed by whatever higher seeded team they might be playing.
Too many injuries, terrible coaching and maybe the native american curse have doomed this seasons team to another mediocre display. I won't be surprised if they drop the Vikings game.
This team is so injured it doesn't even matter. We will be lucky to finish above .500. I just want to get out of the season with no more major injuries!!!!!
Interpretation: Final record based on these scenarios is listed as the last record to the extreme right.
When an opponent is in CAPS, the team whose record is listed will win that game but when the opponent is in all small letters, the team whose record is listed will lose that game.
AFC EAST
N E Patriots 11 3 3-1 8-2 jets BILLS 12-4
Buffalo Bills 8 6 3-2 4-6 raiders patriots 8-8
Mi Dolphins 7 7 3-2 6-5 MINN JETS 9-7
AFC NORTH

Pitt Steelers 9 5 3-2 7-3 KC cincy 10-6
Balt Ravens 9 5 2-3 5-5 hous clev 9-7

K C Chiefs 8 6 2-3 6-4 pitt sd 8-8
S D Chargers 8 6 2-3 6-5 sf KC 9-7
Results the Four Div. Champs are New England, Cincy, Ind. Denver.
First wild card: Pitt would be first wild card.
Initially Tie between Miami, Balt, SD , Miami beat SD who beat Balt who beat Miami so there is no head to head. Next is Conference Record Miami 7-5 in this scenario and Balt is 5-7 and SD is 7-5.........Balt is Eliminated and Mia v. San Diego
Leaving San Diego and Miami.; Miami is second wild card by virtue of head to head.
Thus best case NE, Cinc., Ind, Denver, Pitt and Miami

Gotta love you Bob.
Every season we have all the usual suspects calling for the Phins to tank the rest of the season just to move up in the draft one or two places and, at the other end of the spectrum, every year we have you with a pompom in one hand, calculator in the other, sporting your "72 undefeated season" cap and ready to root for the jest or past or whatever it takes until all dream scenarios are exhausted. You go Bro.

Hmmm phins.com poster accusing others of being fans of other teams?
What's funny is that Chyrenb is stumping hard for them to make the playoffs at 9-7, yet if that happens, there's a good chance Philbin keeps his job (unless Harbaugh falls in Ross' lap) = classic definition of "double edge sword"
This team had the opportunity to hold their own wild card destiny and failed. Being in the situation now where relying on other teams losing to be a wildcard says this team is not playoff ready. Period dot.
