Let me be the first vote for Miami. Don't worry, dolphin, dolfan1, tannydaman, and dolphinsrmefav will quickly make it 4-1 in favor of the Patriots.

I know Miami CAN beat them but....

I hope we win, though I just dont think we can as the pats are firing on all cylinders. In some aspects if we look weak agains them its better we lose out the next 3 and get a better draft and shoot for a new coach which we need anyway, why settle for the 9-7 BS. It gets you nowhere.

Screw that notion! If we can sweep the Patriots for the first time since 2000, I'll take it. It will make missing the playoffs more bearable.

We swept the Pats in 2000 and also in 1999. We had a 5 game winning streak against them from 1999 to 2001!!!

It can also serve to knock NE from the #1 seed!!!!!!!!

Did you really just say you would be willing for the Dolphins to go 2-14 EVERY YEAR if only they beat the patriots????? OMG and you accuse others of not being Dolphins fans.

Sorry 2-14 is not acceptable as a Dolphins fan ANY year to me.

Yes, I said that. Would you be willing to go 16-0 every year which would mean that we would be YOUR PATSIES EVERY YEAR??????

I dont really care who we beat or who we dont beat as long as we get into the playoffs every year like we used to; with a Super Bowl sprinkled in here and there.

I certainly dont want the team losing just to beat a certain team.

We're discussing without name calling the teams we like and the teams we don't like, Joe. Do you want to restrict discussion to just throwing roses at each other?

We know, however, that the Patriots don't live and die on the run, which has been beating us, from the days of Welker to Edelman, they live on the short pass to the little runt and Brady lives on it.

They don't live and die by the run but unlike Philbin & Coyle, BILL B. knows that if something is working, you stick with it until it isn't. If they are running the ball successfully, that's what they do over and over. They proved that against us last year.

The Miami regime, however, likes to ignore the obvious and limit a running back averaging 5 ypc to 12 runs per game!

NE has normally been a very good running team even without a feature back. They are not ranked very high in rushing (18th) this year BUT they can still do it. They have two backs averaging 4.8 ypc and one with 4.2.

The do have 3 receivers over 750 yards. Gronk is 3 yards from 1k. I am sick of Edelmen (884 yards) getting all those yards on quick hitters. I hope they don't try and play "off" of him but they will.

I would play aggressive press on Edelman and stick Jordan on Gronk and use a 5 man front to negate the running game.

Too bad Coyle will play zone and mix up the coverages and have Wake or Wheeler covering Gronk.

I see NE running for 250 yards and BB doing it with our former practice squader Gray.

NE 34
Phins 16

It's not even going to be close. NE by at least 2 TDs.

Practicing this week....

Trusnik at MLB
Wheeler and Sheppard at OLB.

They didn't say who was at the weak side spot but I suspect it is Phillip (I can't cover) Wheeler.

Patriot DB's covering the slot.....

Kyle Arrington 163 snaps
Chung 139 snaps
Revis 136 snaps
Alfonso Dennard 69 snaps
Logan Ryan 51 snaps
Devin McCourty 48 snaps
Brandon Browner 41 snaps
Tavon Wilson 13 snaps

In GB Revis mostly covered Randall Cobb with Browner on Jordy Nelson.

Some have projected that Revis will cover Landry. Browner doesn't have the speed to cover Wallace but they could give him help over the top. That would likely leave Hartline single covered by Arrington.

Or it could be Revis on Wallace, Arrington on Landry and Browner on Hartline.

In any case I don't think they will be expecting us to go deep which I why I HOPE they are working on that this week.

Last time McCain blocked a punt after a 3 and out at the NE 26 yard line and RT responded with a TD to Miller.

NE then marched down the field and scored a rushing TD.

Next possession Mike Wallace fumbles. NE scored FG
Next possession Tannehill throws int. Gronk TD
Miller fumbles on next series but no TD by NE.

We cannot do that this time around and still expect to win.
