I missed the Jets and Ravens games. I know we squeaked by the Jets and lost handedly to the Ravens. Our #3 pick in the draft, did he play? What role did he have in these games? Is his play improving? What can you tell by his effort?
Jordan blocked a punt against the Jets. I saw him in a few defensive plays in both games but not much impact. Like Wake and Vernon he appears to be a weakside DE that depends on speed to get to the QB. Not enough power to demand the double team or pus the tackle back into the qb.
He's getting about 20 snaps per week on defense over the last 3 weeks and has one tackle in each game, a blocked punt vs the Jets. He is mainly in on the speed package as a DT and occasionally at WDE to spell Vernon.
Thanks for the inputs. It still doesn't appear too promising for him to become a full time player. If he was a 6th round pick it wouldn't be so ugly of a pick, but a 1st rounder? Boy, did he fall way short of expectations.
