It's not helpful to make comparisons of someone coming in in garbage time to the rest of the game before it got out of hand.

A good thing to look at is, as I said before, when Moore was FORCED TO BECOME THE STARTER and as I recall too a team that was failing on some kind of 6 game winning streak although I am just saying that from memory.

Why do we have to rag on any Miami Dolphin player?

Now the coach is an entirely different thing. And that is said with a straight face. All he's paid to do is think. Maybe it's because I'm from academia but I have no tolerance with strategical mistakes by coaches.

WCO is NOT a deep passing offense. Tannehill is not (or hasn't shown yet) that he is a deep ball QB. But STILL the score was 37-Zip against a team that just a few weeks ago was considered top tier. The deep ball is like the home run, it's nice to have but it doesn't really matter if you can keep getting base hits.

As Well, I hate to tell ya, but I watched Moore in Carolina, he's NOT a deep ball QB either...and becomes an interception machine and/or sack dummy when he is asked to do to much(as he was in Miami in 2011). He's a backup, and for 8 years the NFL has known it.

16 TD's and 9 INT last time Moore started for the Dolphins.... good try though KB

Moore had 6 balls over 40 yards in the 8 games he started for the Dolphins.

Tannehill all 16 games last year only had 10.

too much in Miami really? 87.1 rating in the limited time he played, you do also recall he won the team MVP award right?

But dont let facts get in the way though.

I do agree it appears the deep ball is not needed in this offense.

The deep ball. More to life then the deep ball. Ask Marino if he could do it differently if he would.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

8 games? when he played in 2011 it was 13 games don't remember how many he started but either way the NFL.COM stats don't tell you whether the ball was THROWN 40+ yards or 10 and run for 50...And 36 sacks...as I said when asked to do to much he is an INT machine and/or sack dummy.

Again, 13 games is FAR from 'limited time'. He thew 347 times that year, If he only started 8, thats a good pace T'hill has started 8 this year and has 281 attempts. Since when is 87.1 a stellar QB rating?....T'hill has played WELL about 3 games this year and is at 91...

> But dont let facts get in the way though.

The 'fact' is, I'm not enamored with T'Hill, this was the last year I planned on cutting him ANY slack at all. IMO good NFL QB's in this day and age show it sooner rather than later. SO another 'fact' remains: Moore has played in the NFL 8 years and you seem the only one who thinks he is starter material so...

87.1 is better then any Tannehill has put up so far.

Moore never got a real shot.

In Carolina he was named starter, then got injured.

I agree with you that Tannehill needs to show it more then 1 or 2 games as he has done that in the past.

The season is NOT over. Hopefully it will stay there or higher.

You do know Matt Moore was drafted by the Angels correct? I think he could probably run pretty decent himself.

Dan Marino was a 4th round pick as a SS by the royals.

Does that mean he could have run the read option?

Marino was drafted as a pitcher I thought...anyway back then most BB players were drafted out of HS...So Marino would've been drafted at like 18...he may have been a little more fleet o' foot before 4 years at Pitt lol.

I was always under the impression it was as a SS, but with his arm I'm sure he pitched also. You are probably right. Makes more sense to take him as a pitcher because even in college he was slow of foot. I doubt he was much faster in HS.

It was as a pitcher for sure.

I'm pretty sure that even if Dan could run the read option.....why???
