I know he was injured but he is going to have to make a huge jump as he has only had 4 snaps this year and it's not like our LB corp is elite. I believe he is just not physically developed enough to play NFL LB. His best shot was at WLB but now that spot has been filled. At 6'3 238, he is not small but he just has a narrow frame. He needs to add about 10 lbs of functional muscle. He hasn't even really contributed on special teams.

Jelaney Jenkins is only 6 ft tall but he carries 245 lbs of weight.

I am thinking Ellerbe and Wheeler are probably gone next year and we will probably draft a LB or two so he will have more competition.

Misi will probably get kicked back to SLB once we bring in some new talent. We need a stud MLB.

We really need Turner to get healthy and put in the work in the off season. I like his personal makeup and think he can do it. We have a huge need at guard. We should be able to find a good guard between Thomas, Smith and Turner but we need to draft a few more to really stiffen the competition. We need dual threat type guys who can pass pro and maul in the run game.

Tripp showed he tackles better in the open field than wheeler.

Its just that chest injury has set him back.

Would really like to see what he can do next year.

Based on his 4 snaps? I'll wait to see him in a game before I make that assessment.

Great job I agree. His back should be sore from the back pats !

Was McCain overlooked because he was never drafted?

Hickey really gives me a great feeling that this team is in good hands.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Joe anyone tackles better than wheeler in the open field......

Tripp made some good open field tackles in preseason...Never ever seen wheeler make one single tackle in the open field ever either in pre season or the regular season.

Wheeler is a scrub and has always played like a scrub.

I don't think you'll see Turner this year unless injuries force it. They stop giving serious reps to backups In August. He just had to big a jump to make to crank the rotation.

I expect him to be a starting guard next year and a candidate to replace Albert at LT when the time comes.

Hey. I was one of the first on the fire Wheeler band wagon but I have to call a spade a spade. He has been 10x the player this year at SLB compared to last year at WLB. He has ZERO missed tackles this year and has done a lot of it with a cast on his hand. I have to give him props for that.

Granted, SLB is the least important LB in this scheme but he has done well this year.

SLB is just a more natural position for him.

Comparing Tripp's preseason play to Wheeler's regular season play is apples to oranges.

You do realize Wheeler was the leading tackler on this team last year right?

And we still didnt make playoffs..The best tackler on a bad team doesnt mean much...

Still waiting to see wheeler tackle some one one on one.

Every time there is a one on one in the open field he get beat. He is awesome when there is like 2 or 3 guys helping him

Wheeler needs to be replaced next year. We need to get better at the LB position.

Offensibly we just need to get better at the guard spot.

Defensibly we need to get better at the LB spot.

Then we will be a better team.

I want Wheeler and Ellerbee gone as well Sam, just pointing out that he actually lead the team in tackles last year.

I dont hate wheeler but he gave me fits last year seeing him play and miss tackle after tackle. I don't trust him.
