IMO it's the key to this defense. We have the ability for the first time since the days of Sam Madison to have a Set of man to man CBs. But lack any kind of tackling ability in the middle. The Bills killed us last season over the middle and running at will.it would be huge to get some line backing presence once again.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Put it this way. We cannot do worse than last year.

With a year together and missi at MLB we might do quite better in 2014.

They do not have to be great. They have to be just good and they will be better than last year.

Some scouts around the league believe Tripp is going to be a stud.

Is tripp the white dude we drafted this year?

If its him ive heard some good things about him.

Only saw some quick footage of him. They say he plays side line to side line.

I like Misi in the middle and wondered why it didnt happen before this.

I gotta give it to you dolphin. You take a lot of crap on this board but you never give up and you very seldom descend to the level of your attackers.

I still think you should give Tanny a chance and a little breathing room but like I said, one has to admire you for the first paragraph.

Because he was a college DE who rarely/never played in space at OLB in college let alone MLB, and he was drafted to be a pass rusher which is a far far more important position.

He's playing MLB now because of the glaring need and because he's become more versatile over his years in the NFL, because he's a good football player even if he didn't develop into that pass rusher, and because this is the last spot left for him to get PT.

Man that's some great advice Chyren.........so I guess you'll be practicing what you preach about Philbin right?

Misi is also in the speed package (as a pass rusher) with Jordan, Vernon and Wake.

When you don't read all the threads, you make yourself seem ignorant, holic.

There was a post in which I said that if Philbin leads us to the playoffs and turns things around, I'll eat my words.

I made that post in direct response to dolphin while in the process of begging him to at least give Tanny a little rope.

It wasn't this thread but another thread. I don't feel like finding it for you because it's your responsibility to read every thread before attacking someone.

Sounds reasonable. When you consider that the Pats, the gold standard for franchise success over the last decade and a half, have done that all of 3 times (with a HOF coach and QB ) during their historic run it seems perfectly reasonable to demand that of a 3rd year head coach of a team with one of the worst records in the NFL over that same decade and a half. Perfectly reasonable... spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Have you been hearing about Chris McCain? 6'6 230. He's been doing some hitting in camp.

LOL I love this board.

Chren the heat isn't off dolfin AKA Deepthought. It will never be off.

BTW I do think deepthought will never get off tannehills case even if tannehill was to go to the hall of fame.

However i do think you will stand by Joe Philbins side and support him if the dolphins become great.

Right on Samsam.
Just goes to show that you have to be a little bat$hit crazy to be a diehard dolphin fan. It's part of the job description. Finding just a little something to chuckle about in another fellow fan's post is akin to laughing about some of the Keystone Kops antics that the team displays at times on primetime.
