It's probably just a PR move to get everyone scared so that they can get a state or federal grant or something. They can't REALLY want to lay off that many police.

Ah the Great One...he truly was.
You know....I'm going to sound like an old fuddy-duddy here, but it REALLY was. It wasn't as crowded, crime wasn't as bad, there was greenspace. Not anymore!
That's not to say there's nothing good about Miami. They're doing some redevelopment downtown and I hope it works out. The Brickell area is really taking off as a neighborhood, "The Roads" is still a good area, and Coconut Grove always was great. The *management* of the city is the real problem. Then there's the fact that the area of the city limits is very small in relation to the rest of Dade County.

Here's hoping. Even though I'll never move back, I'm still rooting for the place. I have friends and family there. Oh yeah, and my favorite football team plays nearby
