Just occurred to me that sterling wanted to sell his team and orchestrated this whole fiasco to get top dollar! He has a buyer putting up 2 billion way more than clippers worth plus he gets to sue the NBA for the force sell and damages etc. all for taping this bogus event lol you really think his wife would stay knowing he had mistress. Lol well played sterlings well played indeed!

Another crazy thing that supports this is if forced to sell this is involuntary conversion saves like $240M in taxes!

Heavens to Betsy. Do you really think a lawyer, which Sterling is, would ever pull such a slimy trick? Tsk. Tsk.

Hmm...make the world hate you for money. I suppose that's something a billionaire would do.

What do you suppose is more important to an 80 year old billionaire with prostate cancer?

Another couple of billion that he can't possibly spend in what little time he has left on this planet, or the sense of power and prestige he gets from being the big dog who owns a team?

I don't think he cares one bit about how much more money he's leaving his kids. I think its killing him to get booted out of the billionaires boys club of NBA owners.

I think the only owners that are definitely doing cartwheels over this are those in LA, NY and Chicago.

The clippers just proved that old real estate axiom about "location, location, location..."

But I'm with you Crowder. That's twice what I thought it might be worth.

How does the forced sale save that type of money, I don't understand? I am not an accountant or tax lawyer but I don't get it? Capital gains is around 25 percent, what break does he get from that because it is a forced sale?

If he wanted to really be classy.......Give $1 billion away to minority Charities. Boom. Do it.

He is still a Billionaire, He still walks away with $400 million more then the Team was worth And I'd go invest in a NASCAR race car and throw all your money behind the sports first Minority driver.

I should be a P.R. dude. drinking smileysmileys with beer

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

He was a Billionaire before . Guy is 80 yrs old. Money doesn't mean shit to him anymore. He liked having the biggest franchise in the LA area. It brought him friends and worth. Now he is just a loser with money. High School all over again.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!
