I think making the switch now, unless forced to by an injury, is a bad idea.

Martin is a rookie. He may have played LT in college but he's been working solely at RT since he came to the NFL. Its a lot to ask of him to make that transition mid season.

If long got hurt or traded then you make the move and hope for the best. But having two guys play out of position with a rookie QB is asking alot.

Unless we see some consistent improvment from our current WR's JP may have no choice if Ireland decides we need someone....but your probably more right than wrong.

Mike Wallace proven #1 deep threat

And just for a moment let's forget that Coach Philbin repeatedly says that his system doesn't need a #1 receiver but, what the hell does he know.

Tell that to Greg Jennings or Jordy Nelson...who are both #1 WR's.

I hear ya...but just because it doesn't "need" one doesn't also mean that it couldn't benefit from one. smileys with beer

I'd have zero issues with adding Wallace or Jennings. I doubt Philbin, Sherman and Tannehill would be all that upset about it either.

Doesn't matter who the WR is. If RT can't hit him when the game's on the line, it just doesn't matter.

So, what you are saying DK, is that RT is not going to improve from where he is right now?

Speaking to you only, Cap. The Colts game is the only game that anyone can even ARGUABLY say that RT failed "when the game was on the line."

And I dispute that.

I think it was playcalling.

We started out 1st and 10 and then went to 1st and 15 on a penalty. And then on 2nd and 15, 3rd and 15 and of course when we HAD TO on 4th and 15, the plays called for an excess of 15 yards on each pass. The only one that went for shorter than 15 yards was the 4th and 15 pass which was completed for 14 yards. Stupid. Four plays to make 15 and you go for 15 on each one of them.

Duhhhh! The defense is playing "Don't give up the deep ball." Sometimes I think whoever is calling plays is actually drunk!

DOLFANKING, I am taking the chance that you might be an atheist.

But if not, do me a favor. You said that you "hope" RT improves.

That favor is to just post, "I swear to God that if I'm lying when I say I hope in my heart RT improves, may God strike me by lightning."

Just post that. Do me that teensy-weensy favor.

If your answer is that I won't do you any favors, then yes, you read this correctly.

If you think the answer means something else, then its more of you blabbering without knowing what you are talking about.

I'm telling you now again that Bess is a beast. I said the same thing about Welker when he was here. Many said NO he is not that good get the draft pick.

Well look what happened when he left here. Welker is a beast... so is Bess.
