Pretty sad offseason for Dolphins.

We'll we did not do anything to improve our team just not make it worse. Ok we got our LT whop a 30 year old injury prone man. We resigned grimes and picked up another injury proned safety. Then we signed a average dt and resigned Starks. We could have went for decker or revis or McFadden or Tate. Not mad or happy just kinda like I knew we all knew this was going to happen and feel as if any gm would have done this. I will say though good trade with Martin.

There is no one out there worth picking up now so we have what 15 mill 20 mill in cap space?

Gone after Decker? Wtf for?
Revis got a 1 year deal worth 12 mil. Teams who give 1 year deals as such are bc they are a player or 2 away, we are clearly more than 1 or 2. McFadden? Really? C'mon. Have basis when you make a post?
The team has been active, now whether it will work out or not is yet to be seen. They've addressed key issues, I got no problem with that. Worse would be, not do anything.

we upgraded and solidified LT. Maybe Monroe would have been better but Albert is certainly a good player.
We resigned our best D player in Grimes and for decent $$. Losing him would have been a disaster.
We resigned Starks for less than what we had previously paid him.
We lost Solia but replaced him with a younger cheaper player who is supposedly on the rise.
We have a ton of $$ to bargain shop now--we can still get a guy like Tate if we wanted but I don't think it's necessary to break the bank for him, even a guy like MJD is a possibility.
Yes we could have way overpaid for a #3 WR like Decker (watch how he is going to drop off the map now that he's left Payton for Gino Smith) and busted the budget to get Revis, but neither of those would have made sense for this team.
Plus we still have the draft.

I don't see the problem.

Like I said I'm not thrilled nor satisfied because we did what was needed and expected. I really wanted Decker and Monroe. Bringing them two in with resigning of Starks and Grimes and the new NT would been a awesome offseason and deff could have happened. That's all.

Could have drafted safety and line backer first two rounds followed by a tackle and two guards in draft and have a pretty solid team.

We'll hopefully the draft will be positive. I'm expecting a 9/7 team this year and possible playoffs.

Too many people assume the draft is an exact science...that the first 4 players we get will be immediate starters. Sorry, but ALL teams end up with busts in the draft. If you have a really pressing need, it never hurts to fill it with a reasonably priced FA just in case you can't in the draft.

Martin is gone. How can you say we are not a better Team? Martin never existed and we made the playoffs last season. Football is a rough sport. Players get injured. Does not mean they are useless afterwards. Older yes, injured? No. Grimes is proof positive of this. What else are you crying about?

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Decker is a beneficiary of having Peyton Manning throw to him. I would project his numbers to be far less next year.

You hope decker isn't the real deal because he is Akers now. He is better than anyone we got at wr. Look I'm not mad just disappointed. If your thrilled and happy then more power to you I just think we will continue to be mediocre until we go out and make our offense beastly by adding elite we rb and tes

I really don't like Albert pick up. If he was cheap then fine but that's going to bite us in the ass half way through the season. Just prepare yourselves for another shot season. Denver went out and did it right. They got what they need to win the SB not fumble around with let's keep bringing injury prown assholes that other teams let walk. Denver going to win it next year guaranteed. Meanwhile we will be bitching about passing up Monroe for Alberts injured ass. And our new safety be a miracle if he stays healthy too. @#$%& me the more I think about it the more I really hate our offseason.

Guarantee one of our three pick ups will be healthy most of the season. I bet by game 3 Delmas be hurt and game 8 Albert be on the bench for a game or two.

Decker will be lucky to get 900 yards this year without Manning...IMO

I had the same concerns about Albert and Delmas.

The good news is when on the field he is rock solid in pass pro.

And we can still find competition in the draft for the FS spot.

It's not just the draft where Miami still has an opportunity to improve themselves; cuts will be coming prior to the season, also.

Why do you want Decker...Miami is already loaded with good wide receivers? Besides, he would have come at too high of a price, based on what Miami already has.

I would have preferred Monroe, also, because of his age and he would have come a little cheaper, but Albert was an All Pro last season. Granted, tho, and I've been saying this all along, Albert has had quite a few injuries, and I believe he missed four games last season.

Decker is better than anyone Miami has right now? I put Hartline above him. Wallace has the speed, and once he and RT figure it out, Wallace will be extremely dangerous. And Gibson is a very good slot guy.

Decker is a good WR, don't get me wrong. He played pretty well with Tebow at QB, but his numbers shot up greatly with Manning throwing the ball, but then again, whose numbers wouldn't shoot up with Manning throwing?

I'm not thrilled with the Albert signing, but I'm not upset, either. If he stays away from the injury bug, and plays the way everyone thinks he can, then it will be a great signing; if he doesn't...

Albert didn't come cheap because he was an All Pro last season and was rated the number one FA tackle.

It's a lot easier for Denver to "go out and do it right." They were in the Super Bowl, and to ensure they win it, they filled their missing pieces. Miami can't do that; they have way too many holes to fill to be able to throw money around at one or two players. In the situation Miami is in, why pay big bucks to one guy (i.e., Revis) when you can get two or three guys to fill holes on your team?

Yeah, Delmas could be an injury risk, but so was Grimes last season, and how did that work out for Miami? what I didn't like that Ireland did last season, he brings guys in from both FA and the draft who had injury problems. Half of his new signees were hurt, and a few of them either never got on the field or got on late. Delmas, I believe, will be coming in without a problem, having already recovered from his injury.

Impossible to judge Miami's offseason at this juncture, way too early. There is still time to sign guys prior to the draft, then see who Miami drafts, then see who, if anyone, they pickup prior to the season kicking off.

Even then it won't be a true judgement...we have to wait until these guys start playing to see if Hickey did it right or not.

What a negative Mfer. What a bad unhealthy way to go through life.
You BET one of them gets hurt? Really? So maybe we should have signed anyone then. Then you would cry about that.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Decker at the $$ the jets shelled out is a horrible signing. I'd be pissed if we made that move.
