Date: March 10, 2014 04:10AM After signing Grimes,we have 35 mill in cap space. 5m of that is for the draft.
That leaves 30 to fill out the roster. We can free up another 9-10M by trading or cutting Patterson and moore. If we can get Byrd for a similar contract to what we gave Grimes (4/$32) I think we have to do it. Dumping Patterson covers the move on its own for this year. Then we live with Taylor, Davis and a cheap veteran as our top 4 cb's. Plus we'd still have 35mill to go after Oline, LB's and a RB. Re: Jarius Byrd or Dimitri Patterson/Matt Moore?

Date: March 10, 2014 04:37AM I am not sure why we have not cut Patterson and Moore by now. Moore's trad value really went down after his last performance. If Patterson turns out to be healthy maybe we can resign him. Not sure why the f/o has not pulled the trigger. Re: Jarius Byrd or Dimitri Patterson/Matt Moore?

Date: March 10, 2014 05:03AM We cut Moore now Guarantee he is a Jet by Noon. We might be trying to control his destiny and maybe get a little value for him at the same time. I agree his 1 play interception last season didn't help sell his stock much , but he is Primo Jet Material and they seem to love our junk. GO DOLPHINS!!!! Branden Albert OR Anthony Collins AND Geoff Schwartz? They still need to sign more linemen but I've heard nothing about guards outside of wanting Roger Saffold to make a move to G. If Schwartz can play on the left (as he did for a few games last year) he would be a great match with Albert since they played together already.
