Rex deserved it imo.

He's an easy target to dismiss and laugh at but he's 10-times better as a HC than the flimflam we have.

Rex got a lot out of his talent.

Rex can motivate his players.

Rex can beat Billygoat on his home turf in January.

Rex took a mediocre team with a crap QB to the plaloffs and AFC title game

Rex brought an inferior team to SFL and destroyed the Dolphins who were playing for a playoff berth.

Rex will beat the crap out of Joe Phlimflam 9 times out of 10.

I could go on. But why...

The Jets recognize their issues are more talent-related than coaching. Ryan is a good coach. Easy decision for them, BUT he is on a short leash...essentially 1 year guaranteed.

Agreed.

I started to like Rex during one of their "Hard Knocks" shows when Rex was throwing the ball around and referencing Marino on all his throws.

I remember also when one of our QBs (can't remember which one) tore up the Jets and Rex said his team made the Miami QB look like Marino.

Gotta love a guy like that.
