I am not a Philbin hater, but Shula also spoke highly of Tony Sparano... I don't really hold much weight in these type of endorsements... Shula is towing the line.... I am not saying there isn't validity to it, but he is hardly an honest broker endorsement.... Shula always speaks positive about coaches and players on the Miami Dolphins...

Everyone praised Sparano year one when he was going 11-5.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't recall him being on the Sparano bandwagon much, if at all, in the subsequent seasons.

has the don ever had a bad word to say about anyone on the phins since he left? other than cold shoulder for JJ (which was a personal thing) I don't think so.

RE: Hardly a ringing endorsement...pretty vanilla to be honest, likes the way he handles himself, straight forward, hard working and has the teams attention. This would apply to almost all coaches in the NFL.
