yeas, if quick slants aren't working we are screwed. Tannehill worst QB in league throwing the deep ball . He regularly misses 2 a game that could be TD. OL played solid against a good D line, Jets secondary looked terrible

The above is why Miami is only 6-6.

(#5) Decent o-line play from a makeshift line with a practice squad player and a late addition Free Agent McKinnie? These guys got the job done without much time playing together, yet the original starters picked by Philbin and Sherman gave up a record number of sacks. This statement is not a knock on any players; I'm just saying that if the staff really knew what they were doing they might have had better o-line play earlier in the season. I wonder how much they miss Fasano's blocking?

(#6) The blame for the short yardage game IMO falls mostly on Philbin and his system, and partially on Ireland. The running game is not very important to Philbin's system, which is why he didn't keep a FB or fight to get a big strong power back.

(#7) I do see a little improvement on his deep passes, but not much. I assume that as the o-line plays better, Tannehill will get better. This is what they should be concentrating on in practice.

Agree Beating the Jets is sweet no matter what else is wrong. What has happened to our red zone play? earlier in the year it was a strong point?????

Agreed, it was sweet but, we were lucky to catch the jest in a slump. That was not the same team that beat the saints and the past.

No, I don't think so. He got himself benched. Early in the game, he got plenty of time to get the ball to his wide receiver. The man had split the coverage and was WIDE open on the sideline. Smith threw it into the cheap seats. This was indicative of his entire first half. On top of his two previous outings, it was enough for the coaching staff to bench him. It was a cumulative thing.
