Rather interesting game.

Was not sure where team would go if they had lost this game. It felt like the would come apart.

Hanging in for the win should be a huge boost to the team.

Tannehill played well enough to win.

Miller is awesome like I said he was all along.

Why do we still continue on 3rd and 1 to bunch it up? Spread it out and let Miller pick the hole to run in. Or let Tanney run a keeper. Something, beside this stacked line stuff that continues to not work.

defense came up huge! lets hope Patterson is ok.

Well all I know is that if you are gonna "bunch it up", you quarterback sneak to take maximum advantage of that but if you are gonna have the QB run back five yards and hand the ball off, you'd do better to spread it out and to have the RB pick his hole because then there would be holes unlike when you bunch it up.

I don't think there would be enough room for RT to QB sneak it and get the first down on the majority of attempts.

The problem I see with the comments concerning the running game, is that Miller and Thomas were both gaining yards on the same types of plays throughout the game. It's just on 3rd and 1s where they get stuffed. Well, time to come up with new plays for those situations, eh Sherm?

Cap, having played center, I can tell you it depends on how quickly you and the guards, fire off and knock the d line back. We've got one advantage and that is we know when the snap is gonna occur. We used that to maximum to EXPLODE at the time of the snap. No problem. QB gets at least a yard.

As I said in another thread, what Philbin tried to do is fool the defensive line into thinking that Tanny was going back to pass and THEN he had Tanny hand it off to the running back and the element of surprise was going to get them the one yard (errr..despite the fact that they have been trying that crap without success ever since about the 4th game of the season. Also despite the fact that it is so damn stupid that the only reason it would possibly work is that no other team would dare think you would be stupid enough to try it but we've done it so many times the other teams now expect it).

So sorry, there is no rational or credible excuse for that play call except, like I said, that no one would suspect it given its SHEER STUPIDITY.
