Just heard on the tube that following the game Pouncy was served with a subpoena in connection with the Hernandez case. Evidently Hernandez was involved in running guns across state lines and Pouncy may be involved.

Geez, lets hope it turns out to be nothing. He's the only good OL player we have.

if he's just being subpoenad as a witness and not because they think he himself did anything wrong, I don't see it as too big a deal. Pouncy is the living example of what happens when you "lie down with dogs." I hope he enjoyed wearing that hi-larious "free hernandez" hat.

Where in the world did you hear that?

The last I heard, Pouncy was subpoenaed only because they were college teammates.

dolphin, I don't usually agree with you about Tannehill but truer words were never spoken.

I heard it on the Sunday night football pre game show or one of those network shows after the late game and before the Sunday night game. Some NFL "insider" mentioned that it had to do with Hernandez and an on-going investigation concerning gun running.
My first thought was that maybe Pouncy had bought a gun and sent it to Hernandez via FedEx or UPS. It would be a Federal offense without an ATF dealers license. We'll see.

This is a very serious matter re Pouncey. Dolphins have gone totally silent on the matter and charges are being considered by law enforcement. This is going to be a distraction for Pouncey and maybe the team for the rest of the season at least.

Chris-- (how are ya?) I think this also speaks volumes as to why Our Pouncey didn't comment AT ALL after the "hat" incident while his twin apologized in the media.

I guess this proves that the Jackson Five were wrong when they sung "One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch."

IF Pouncey is involved in this latest investigation, then that's his fault for associating with Hernandez. Hernandez was trouble in college, so why would anyone hang out with him if they weren't like him?

As I suspected, this has nothing to do with them being room mates in college. It's pretty specifically concerning gun running across state lines. Pouncy's name must have popped up on phone records or a paper trail concerning gun trafficking.
At least we can take comfort in the fact that the subpoena wasn't served before the game by a guy on a snowblower.
