I am glad to see Vonatae doing well in Indy, I always like him and his game.. But his drinking and partying seemed to be an issue with his health and consistency.... Indy is probably a safer spot for him to excel then in Miami.... I wish him the best...

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

Fact was, we didn't cut him. We traded him which means somebody else wanted him. As much Ireland may have felt he was getting rid of somebody that wasn't good enough, somebody else wanted him. It wasn't like Jake Long who went somewhere else and was ultimately cut. Vontae was traded to someone who wanted him and is still there.
Now, was it a good thing for us to trade him. I don't know. I thought so at the time for the price.
Now in retrospect might we have traded him a bit soon....maybe so.
The only thing I'm on record as saying was that Ireland was a pompous fool for SPINNING IT to Vontae like he was being cut when he was being traded.
