Manning has been to ONE Superbowl. As good as he is statistically, he's had a habit of choking towards the end of big games. So, don't expect it's just a foregone conclusion that Denver is going to the Superbowl.

If 4600+ yards, 37 TD's, 11 Int's and a 105 passer rating, 13-3 and the #1 playoff seed in the AFC is "not so much" then SIGN ME UP for some of that!!!!

I agree SamSam but even a rocket starts on the ground before it reaches outer space.

I have been saying that I saw the same potential in Welker when he was here.

But SamSam, Welker aside, it is about the supporting players. I see every NOBODY I EVER HEARD OF playing for the Patriots making all kind of fantastic plays and I see all the big name Falcons BLOWING every easy play they can.

Can a great QB win a superbowl every year he plays by himself? NO. But he CAN make a team competitive, relevant and a force to be reckoned with almost singlehandedly. Marino did, Elway did, Brady does, Manning does. Thats the fact most of us, who have been clamoring for years to put more effort in to finding a 'franchise' QB, have been trying to get across.

Lets not get carried away, they have yet to beat a team with a winning record and Manning has a long history of starting like a house a fire then floundering. That said they have a ridiculously easy schedule early going all the way in to their bye but they have KC twice, The Titans away and the Patriots away. Like Brady, if you let a guy with that kind of experience just stand there he's going to pick you apart. All it will take to beat Denver is a team that can bring some pressure...

Right KB. Precisely! You have to blitz him more often.

I have said on this board a million times.

The Tom Brady that's going into the Hall of Fame someday is the Tom Brady safely in the pocket with ample time to scan the field.

However, if you want to see the Tom Brady THAT HAD TO WAIT UNTIL THE SIXTH ROUND TO GET DRAFTED....just pressure him in the pocket.

Guys only problem i see with this is manning has a great Oline....and great blockers overall....so i dont see people getting to him.

I hope thats not the case especially if we play them in the playoffs.

But at the same time iam afreaid it is.

most QB's are not good when they get tons of pressure. Of course if you don't get their the great ones make you pay.

errr.... They used to say of Marino the more you blitz him the worse he burns you.

Brady falls apart with pressure.
