Need to start using them more in our game plan. Matthews is solid, has great hands, Sims and even Egnew give us another TE target . Did Wallace even have a catch today? His deep threat opens things up for others

Wallace had two catches for 22 yards. Making him our 5th-best receiver today.

But look for him to really be motivated next week against New Orleans...Wallace was born there.

I said last year that Matthews was going to be a stud! I really like him.

That was one hell of a catch by Sims....all while being arm-barred (and no penalty flag). Every week a different player steps up.

Props to Tannehill for spreading the ball around.

If Mathews emerges in a significant way, and Clay continues his remarkable evolution -- this offense is going to be a nightmare to deal with. Couple that with LaMarvelous hitting stride and Simms + Egnew contributing and...

Like Hartline says: The Sky if the limit!

BNF.

Egnew, and that pass to sims was a strike....I even consider clay almost a rookie nobody knew how well he was going to do...

Look how well he is doing with a great QB. Throwing strikes...

Just 1 catch for 8 yards that makes a first down its worth it and you made your mark.

Just read an Los Angeles Times clip that said that when asked to comment on the One handed catch in the endzone, Sims said that the defender had a hold of the other arm so he had no choice.

Was there a flag? I don't remember one. Scary to think that if he had not made such an all-world catch, we could have lost that game to the cheating a_s referees who seem to make every call against us and fail to make every call that should be made for us.

There was not a flag. The defender committed both holding AND pass interference, and neither was called.

Good thing he calmly snagged the rock with his left hand.

ETA: Speaking of being calm, this was Sims' very first catch as a pro. He made it look like he was a 10-year veteran. Calmly reached up, didn't panic, didn't overreact to the (uncalled) multiple fouls being committed on him, and impressively didn't celebrate excessively afterward---acted like it was his 100th TD catch. Another day at the office, only it was his first catch ever, that happened to be a game-winner.

I dont mind the refs making the right calls home or away but it pisses me off when a team is playing away and the refs make all the calls for the home team..

Well, they certainly don't do that when WE'RE the home team.

I have always supported Tanne but he is still erratic throwing in the flats. Missed Hartline for big yardage and a bad throw to Miller. Although he put the ball there perfectly to Miller on the same play later in the game and Miller dropped it.

Mathews is going to have to earn his playing time. He is the 4th receiver right now and only sees the field in certain formations. He would have to beat out Gibson in order to get on the field more and even though Gibson does drop the occasional pass, he also makes big plays and has really done nothing to get demoted. He has performed well.

About the only way Mathews gets more time will be if someone gets injured and then he does so well (big plays & Td's) they can't bench him.
