I agree he deserves a game ball that was a huge hit.....I was waiting for something like this to happen and it did.

I think this draft class 2013 has a chance of been very good.

I would give him a vote except for the fact he was too busy celebrating while his teammates were fighting for a fumbled ball. He had no clue and for that I give him a vote for bonehead play of the week.

Im satisfied he had the hit that caused the fumble. Especially been a rookie.

He gets an A plus for that hit.

Actually I'm just kidding mostly. It was a great play.

I could actually give game balls to....

Dion Sims, Hartline, Clay, Mathews, Miller, Thomas even Jimmy Wilson but the player of the week is Tannehill.

That was really a game changer hit though. I bet Zach Thomas shed a tear after watching that hit. Atlanta Player left his feet. Lost the ball and we scored as a result. That sucked all the air out of them.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

The kid has huge upside -- ran a 4.35 once (timed @ 4.4 pro day) and big vertical with a nice nasty streak as evidenced by the big hit.

Made a lot of impact plays in college and just needs time + coaching to develop into a dandy defensive terrorist (DDT).

Ireland has definitely done some nice work in the 5th 6th and 7th round. We just need the 2nds and 3rds to emerge with more consistent impact.

Here is an Idea.......Trade our 1st, 2nd , and 3rd rounders for like 19 - 5th, 6th, and 7th rounders. grinning smiley

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

For what its worth, Ireland's 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks since Parcells left are:

2011:
1 - Mike Pouncey
2 - Daniel Thomas

2012:
1 - Ryan Tannehill
2 - Johnathan Martin
3 - Olivier Vernon
3 - Michael Egnew

2013:

1 - Dion Jordan
2 - Jamar Taylor
3 - Will Davis
3 - Dallas Thomas

From where I sit:

Pouncey, RT, and Jordan are "home runs".

Martin, Taylor and Davis are very good picks who could still prove to be "home runs".

Vernon and Daniel Thomas are solid core type picks. Guys who can contribute in a rotation and at times flash big time playmaking ability.

Egnew looks like a bust who could develop into a role player or 3rd TE.

Dallas Thomas is a work in progress. If you had to guess today, you'd guess bust. But most O-lineman make a huge jump from year one to year two when they catch up in strength and conditioning to what is required of NFL o-lineman.

That's 10 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks in 3 years.

3 home runs.

3 extra base hits.

2 solid singles.

2 misses.

I'll take that type of success rate any day of the week. Its on par with Ozzie Newsome over the same 3 YEARS.

I agree with the home runs, though all are still young and developing and Jordan looks like he's going to be one vs. is one.

I'd have to see Davis and Taylor on the field for any grade other than incomplete. And, to be honest, I'd give Egnew and Dallas the same mark.

So, no bona-fide, unquestionable busts there, but a handful of players that could go either way...proof's in the pudding.
