Bills:

I liked EJ Manuel coming out of the draft. He actually looked better than I thought. Even if the Bills have found their QB of the future, I believe they are still a year behind Miami and will struggle as we did last year.

Patriots:

Could be opening game problems but they did not look like the great offense as in the past. Not surprising given the talent level. They barely squeaked by Buffalo. I can see the writing on the wall....

Jets:

Leave it to the Bucs to give the game away to an inferior team. Geno Smith was awfully proud of himself. Someone should tell him not to get too accustomed to winning. This kid will implode at the first loss. Doesn't have the maturity to handle the stress of being an NFL QB.

The Pats should be able to pull out a victory at home vs the Jets this week (Thursday).

Buffalo may struggle against Carolina's defense (@ Buffalo).

Week 2 Outlook...

Miami 2-0
NE 2-0
NYJ 1-1
Buf 0-2

NE may not lose until week 4 when they play ATL but then the fun starts with Cincy, N.O., Jets, Mia, Pit, Car, Den, Hou...6 potential/realistic losses.

Miami also has a brutal schedule coming up.

NE looks very average against a team with little pass rush. One thing that dawned on me tonight...Tom Brady has never had to face any adversity based off losing or even failure by the offense. He is not happy tonight. smiling smiley

Lots of dropped passes and wrong routes being run. What are the chances he loses it? I'm hoping. That is one breakdown I have been waiting for since 2001.

He has been successful with mediocre receivers before but they could always catch the ball. Troy Brown, Davis Patten, Jabar Gaffney, Deon branch, David Givens, Reche Caldwell...

These guys are green and may not even turn out to be that good. Even if Gronk comes back in week 3 (Bucs) but teams can double him (or put Revis on him) and still be effective IMO for lack of other weapons.

Their schedule gets tough starting in week 4. smileys with beer

Definitely did not look like the ole Tom Brady to me last night. Forget the receivers. His passes were uncharacteristically off the mark. JC tell me if the dirtbags up in Boston start calling for his benching or at least complaining about his play.

Not yet...I stay away from local sports talk shows in general. But the locals rather quiet for being 2-0. They know they almost lost both games. As for Thursday they're thinking Tom's numbers weren't so high because of the rain. And they think all will be peachy keen once again because Gronkowski is coming back soon.

We are 2-0. We have a good chance of going 6-0 in our division. That's 8 games. We only need 3 of the following 8 to make the playoffs. Just a thought. thumbs up

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I hope you're right but I don't know. Maybe our coaching staff is learning how to use our running backs cuz I saw more of Daniel Thomas on power runs instead of trying to use Lamar but there was a lot of the coaching with respect to the plays run and the defensive play strategy with which I disagreed.

Against the Pats, you have to be near perfect.

not this year. they look like crap on offense. they are riding their reputation at this point. their D is not as good as ours but our offense is better at this point, NE's WRs can't catch and brady is getting frustrated

Yes, as I have often said, if you let Brady sit back in the pocket unhurried and unharried, you see the Brady that will be in the Hall of Fame but if you pressure him, you see the Tom Brady that was judged to be a 6th round pick.

FINALLY, the rest of the NFL is picking up on that.
