not sure of the rule but I don't think you are practice squad eligible if you've played in just a few games in the league---russell started many so he would not be eligible.

and any way, stay far far away from this bonehead. let him prove himself in canada first.

I'd take Tebow in a heartbeat over Russell.

Oh, and even WITH Russell..there are not enough "good" QBs in the league. The article suggests that Russell is a "good" QB. Most teams wouldn't agree.

I dont know, Russells problem was sippin syrup, the purple drank.. It killed his career and body, made him lazy... If he is drug free truly, I would think he has a chance.. I am just not so sure how easy it is to turn yourself around after being addicted to that stuff heavily... Ryan Leaf never was able to get away from them opiates... Not saying Russell can't, but the odds are not in his favor... Especially to get back to an elite level as an NFL QB..

The dude fell asleep in meetings and his QB play was awful. Out too late at night wearing his mink coats in the clubs.

Sounds like a perfect fit for the Jets.

Here's a good question. If you are Chicago, Cutler goes down. Would you want Josh Mcnown under center or Russell?
