Ireland definitely rolled the injury dice throughout this entire draft. We can hope but most likely it's gonna bite us in a the ass at some point down the line.

Best case is 6 years and not 6 months.

Not only the draft but also FA, i.e., Grimes coming off an Achilles.

It seems like 3/4 of the new roster additions are in various stages of rehab. I'm starting to think Ireland landed some amazing voodoo doctor on "steroids" (and by steroids I mean the some stuff soLong left in his locker). WINK.

That goes hand in hand with Parcells philosophy -- get big and stay healthy by "whatever means you have to" (like Billygoat did in NE with all those 35+ players on the roster a few years back).

What goes around -- comes around.

True, but that's only a 1 year deal for $5.5 with only about half of that guaranteed.

In a year when we have tons of cap space, so much so that we will have plenty to carry over to next year, its really not much of a risk to sign Grimes to that deal.

Guess what guys: Football is a physical sport!

Good players play hard! Hard playing can result in injuries to varying degrees. But remember, these guys are very young, and heal well and fast. With the, specialists and medical practices that they will have access to, these "injuries" can be easily addressed and dealt with.
These aren't as big a gamble as some are making it out to be. relax!

It is physical, but that does not mean you keep drafting guys already injured or have a history of injury

How many players do you thimnk actually get through college with no injiuries? Very few I would think. Even the ones who don't miss any games will still have lingering issues that have never even been addressed. Knees that need to be scoped, etc.

Look at RGIII. He should have had a knee operation well before he played in the NFL.

Uhhhhhhh. Perhaps we didn't learn our lesson with soLong? Or how about Smiley, or Jake Grove, or...

It's nonsense to ignore red flagged injury history. I mean seriously -- WHY do injured players drop like a rock in the draft if the "injury doesn't matter?" Ain't no logic to be found in that woodshed.

And we're NOT just talking about nicks and cuts and bruises -- we're talking about freaking surgeries on major body joints and of course the pedestrian vital organ like a kidney or liver or heart. No biggie...
