I hope all of the Boston people and families, especially from this site are ok too.
I wish there was not so much hatred in the world for people to do this kind of thing. Obviously, it's such a tragedy that certain individuals and sometimes groups feel compelled to express themselves with such senseless violent acts. The only thing we can do is use this dreadful moment today to reach out and express our love and appreciation to everyone that is a friend, a family member or even a relative acquaintance. One day may we share a moment of peace, instead of the collective sense of horror that this day has brought upon us.
I would caution you all to remember that in the early hours following the Oklahoma City bombing that suspicion and blame was also being directed towards "middle eastern looking men" and we all know how that turned out. The amateurish nature of these bombings remind me more of the Olympic village bombing in Atlanta than anything else and, that also turned out to be a white American. In truth, there are plenty of nut cases in this country with a grudge against the government and they also walk among us.
My wife was talking the same thing you are talking and I offered to bet her $10 if it was ANYTHING (animal liberation front to KKK or anything other than Arab terrorists). No bet. I reduced it to $5. No bet. I reduced it to $2. No bet. $1, no bet. .50 cents, no bet. When she refused to bet .05 cents, I said "See, your views aren't worth a nickel."
Just heard that an 8 year old boy was one of the deceased.
Don't make a bet, berk. The press is always in a position to get secret information from people working at police stations and they are already reporting that a detainee who was grabbed because he was seen on surveillance earlier planting backpacks in trash cans, is a Saudi national, Osama Bin Laden's home country.

You are probably correct. This is probably amateur hour at best but authorities have a man in custody who is of Islamic descent.
I believe that if the attack had been professionaly planned and carried out, the death toll would be much larger....but that is just me
This isn't an american homegrown terrorist, unless of the Islamic kind... Attacking the Boston Marathon with multiple bombs is an attack on America by Islamic fundamentalist IMO.. And the fact all of the suspects they are looking for or have in custody, seem to be foreign nationals, supports that claim..

I will say that who ever did this did not break the will or spirit of the American people. I would also like to say that. I am not afraid, and will defend myself, my family and this country until my last dying breath. The Jackass who is responsible for this incident does not scare or intimidate anyone. They have an enormous target on their back now, and they will be caught. Justice will be served. We may disagree on many things in this country, but keeping our selves free remains a right that will never be taken away out of fear. God bless this country, and her people.

LOL. Walking in through the Southern boarder would be easier then giving 11 Million people who proved how easy it is, all amnesty. Buts that's a different story for a different thread.
When they disclose the materials used for the explosion it will say a lot. If its made of Military C4 and not homemade from fertilizer then we have a big problem on our hands.
Let's remember that the bombs went off near the finish line. The winner of the race was dark skinned and the majority of the first couple hundred racers were dark skinned. Suppose a trainer was meeting his team of athletes at the finish line with multiple bags filled with towels, clothes, water, food or, whatever, he would look guilty of something to some. It will take awhile to sort this out.
I'm still leaning towards home grown nut jobs.
