Funny how things play out.

A month and a half back certain posters felt we had to take Allen or Patterson #1 or wed be making a monumental mistake.

Guess it pays to wait until all the info is in before painting things in absolutes.

I can't help but wonder if Allen still isn't healthy. 4.75 is really slow. He doesn't look that slow on tape.

boldin was a 2d round pick for allen in the 2d makes sense, since that is the guy everyone's comparing him to

Allen had good numbers in college: 33 games, 205 catches, 2,570 yards 12.5 per catch, 17 TDs.

He is also coming out as a junior.

He (supposedly) clocked in at 4.5 40 during his college career.

At present, he is not 100%. Will he ever be? Who knows, as knee injuries can be tricky.

Anyone taking him in the 1st to mid-2nd is taking a chance that he will be back to full health. The guy doesn't have a lot of speed. He does, however, have good size: 6'2", 215lbs.

As far as the Fins are concerned, depending on who is there in the 2nd round (I still draft a CB with that first pick in the 2nd), Allen may not be the guy for Miami.

Not sure Miami would want to gamble on him with that high of a pick.

Me too.

Just wouldn't use my 1st round pick on him.

I'll never forget recieving my Dolphin Digest in the mail that year, and his picture was on the cover with a big cheesy, gold-toothed grin. UGH!

Don't blame Moore. He was shocked Miami picked him in that spot.
