The league has had a lot of late round or undrafted guys like John Randle that turned out to have pretty nice careers, and numerous high pick stiffs. Both these guys look quicker & more productive than Odrick and could be a available in 4-6

Not sure I see a totally different game. In what way?

They are different players.

These two prospects are 4-3 DE's. The need to be smaller and faster in general than 3-4 DE like Odrick who's primary function is to play the run.

In a 4-3 end you are looking for speed enough to be a primary pass rusher and strength enough to set the edge versus the run.

Its just my opinion but Bass doesn't look to have Wake's outside speed. At least not in that tape. He's playing smaller opponents who he won't be seeing on Sunday's next year and he still can't beat them around the edge consistently to apply pressure.

More often than not he gets caught up in the block and makes a play because he doesn't give up or he's eventually able to shed the block and move back to the inside.

He's a nice developmental prospect. But I don't see any of the speed/outside rush you get with Wake who is the best speed rusher in the game right now.

maybe that's not on this tape. maybe its who he is.

Not saying I wouldn't take a 6th/7th round flyer on him and hope he can be coached up.

I like his motor and his physicality, just doesn't look anything like Wake to me when it comes to rushing the passer.
