Sign Wallace and Cook and add another WR in the draft

Williams, Hunter, Hopkins, Woods

Add Brandon Myers, Keller, Davis, Delanie Walker or resign Fasano also

Then we don't need to take a TE in draft

what is so great about jared cook?

cook
2012 Regular Season 44 523 11.9 61 4 24 0 0 0.0 0 0 1 1

fasano
2012 Regular Season 41 332 8.1 22 5 18 0 0 0.0 0 0 0 0

neither player blows me away. I'd rather draft a TE (not a crappy one like Egnew_ than overpay for cook.

It's not impressive if you are thinking of the Hasselbeck of a few years ago. 2012...not so impressive...same as entire Titans offense. Cook had almost 800 yards as a backup TE in 2011 (5 starts).

Hasselbeck and Locker were worse than Tannehill.

2012 Total QB ratings...

Hassel ranked 23rd with 48.5 (15th year)
Locker ranked 34th with 48.1 (2nd year)
RT ranked 19th with 52.3 (rookie)

I dont care what ESPN QBR stats say, the NFL passer rating stats are different ranking.. And if you put up all these guys stats lined up, they all played pretty lousy, not one of them outplayed the other last year... To say Cook would thrive with Tannehill because he is a better QB, who clearly outplayed the Titans QB's last year is a fallacy, I am not buying...

If you look at the head to head match up last year, Locker and the Titans lit us up 37-3. RT was horrible in that game...

6'5" 250 4.49 vernon Davis like TE's don't come around too often

Gonna be better with whomever he catches on with. Wouldn't be surprised to see Green bay go after him

That depends what happens to Jermicheal Finley, jyell.. I would much rather wind up with Finley then Cook... If GB released or trades Finley before his 3 million roster bonus in march.

NFL QB rating is severely flawed. Tannehill was flawed too last year but no less impressive all things considered. It was one game. I'm looking at the bigger picture. You want to pick one game and use it as the synopsis of the season. That isn't the case.

I believe Cook is a viable option because we can bank on potential. He has the elite tools and after a slow start, knows the position better. We can cash in for the other team training him. He can also be had for reasonable money. You don't completely rely on him. You still have to add another TE but he has way more upside than Fasano and is in the same price range.

I think Locker can be a good QB someday but the facts are that Locker was way more experienced coming into the NFL. He was a 4 year starter with another year under his belt in the NFL (and a redshirt freshman year). Nobody that picks on Tannehill ever wants to concede those facts.

Finley is a head case Diva, not sure Philbin will want him

If he can't perform with Rogers(2 TD's last year!), what happens when he get with RT?

Give me Brandon Myers a cheaper solution 79 rec/800+ yds with the raiders!

Sign Jennings
Sign Cook/Bennett/Keller/Finley
Sign Hartline
Cut Bess
Draft Patterson
Use Thigpen in the slot as needed

Jennings can play outside or the slot.

I love Bess, but we need guys who can do more than he does for us.

NEFF, this is probably closest to what I would like to see, as well. I'm assuming that the price difference between Wallace and Jennings is going to be very significant. And, I'm assuming that Patterson has the mental chops to play in Philbin's WCO. And, in addition to signing a seam-stretching TE, I would like to keep Fasano as a part of the 1-2 TE punch if the price is right. He has his limits, but his hands are velcro and he catches more TDs than the rest of our receiving corps combined.

I think ESPn QBR has its flaws as well and here is why

Jake Locker 11 GP 56.4 CMP% 10 TD 11 Ints, 2 fumbles
Tannehill 16 GP 58.3 CMP% 12 TD 13 Ints, 5 fumbles

yet somehow ESPN has RT ranked 19th and Locker 34th
NFL passer rating has RT 27th and Locker 28th

Sorry but looking at the stats it is clear which stat is more accurate... ... Please tell me how RT was a better QB then Locker last year, cause the stats just dont add up to what you say.. Nor to RT being 15 places better then Locker with those stats differences ... If anything Locker has 2 less TD's and 2 less INt's and 3 less fumbles in 5 less games starts.
I also didnt cherry pick a game I just chose the head to head match up between the 2. And Locker lit us up and RT was horrible with a pick 6 and 3 ints...
