I really like this kid at MLB, he was a leader on the Florida defense, he is fast, has size and can hit... I like him late 2nd early 3rd if still available.. 3 year starter for Florida.. Check him out... He ran a 4.5 today

I like Bostic and am ready to let Dansby and salary go next year but thinking the 3rd is a bit high for the position this year. 2 guys I like in the 4th or 5th rnd is Mauti Penn St and Klein from IA State.

If we draft him and he plays any where close to the last 54, you have my word....

Hopefully the Dolphins kept a good relationship with these Gator player's HC, Will Muschamp.. Who was our assistant head coach and defensive cordinator in 2005 under Saban. That was the year we went 9-7...

Didn't we give 54 to EJ Edds after Zach retired? I seem to remember a big kerfuffle over that number biend given out so quickly to such a marginal prospect...confused smiley

Crowder52 and his 379 tackles in his first 4 years before injuries are better then mediocre...Now for the irony, if we draft a MLB that puts up those type of numbers in his first 4 years, you all would call him a stud all day long, as long as his name wasn't Crowder..

I know he's your favorite player but lets not re-write history.

Crowder was 69th in the league in tackles in 2005, 39th in 2006, 94th in 2007 and 20th in 2008.

He had 1.5 sacks over that time, 3 forced fumbles and 3 recovered fumbles in total over those 4 years. That's less than two big plays a year. Not too mention he couldn't cover a stop sign in the passing game.

Those numbers are average at best, and could fairly be described as mediocre or sub par.

The notion that we'd consider a guy like that today to be a "stud" is a laughable attempt to imply that all of us have it in for your boy. We don't. He was a solid player for us who never lived up to expectations.

We just aren't blinded by our feelings for him.

That doesn't change the facts, 379 tackles in his first 4 years is not mediocre or rewriting history.. Karlos dansby did not have that many tackles in his first 4 years.. Injuries got the best of crowder and as I said before if we drafted a lb this year that puts up those type of numbers in his first 4 years, you goes would be salivating all over his jock.. Which LB drafted by Ireland has come anywhere close to those numbers, that's what I thought..

I can't speak for everyone but I would not be salivating all over ANYBODIES jock. That's sick.

How did Ireland get brought into this discussion?

I liked Crowder but at least we are no longer getting tore up by every TE that comes to town.

I am far from a Crowder hater, but I can count on 1 hand the # of impact plays he made for us while here. In fact I can think of only 1, the game ending INT he had one year vs the Pats. His #s were Akin Oyadele-like. MLBs are supposed to make tackles.

In 6 years Channign Crowder had 1.5 sacks, 3 forced Fumbles, 3 Fumbles recovered, 1 INT and zero TD's.

By contrast, the player Crowder compared him to...Karlos Dansby...had 25.5 sacks, 12 forced fumbles, 9 fumbles recovered, 10 INT's and two TD's.
