The difference between a 2 seed and 3 seed is gargantuan, so I expect the Pats will be playing pedal to the metal next Sunday. Even if it's close, it won't be a pretty game.
Teams in Decline:
Texans
Ravens
Steelers
Chargers
Jests
Raiders
Chiefs
Teams on the Rise:
Pats
Broncos
Bengals
Jaguars
Teams in limbo:
Dolphins
Colts
Bills
Browns
Titans
NE has been beat by AZ in NE, away at Sea and away at Ravens. We should be competitive if we play mistake free or minimize mistakes.
NE missed a FG to lose vs AZ .
Russell Wislon threw a 46 yard TD to beat NE with 1:18 remaining.
Baltimore kicked a last second FG to beat NE.
The Pats are ranked 28th vs the pass (Mia 26th) and have given up 7 TD's of 40 plus yards. They have given up 23 sacks. They are ranked 10th vs the run. The Seahwaks were ranked 10th last week (now 12th) before Miami.
The Pats have given up 22 TD's passing (Mia 14 allowed). They have 14 ints (Mia 8).
Our only shot is to pressure Brady and take advantage of a weak defense.
Az sacked Brady 4 times and had 1 pick. Brady threw for 1 TD. (79.6 rating)
Baltimore had 2 sacks, no int's and held Brady to 1 TD. (101.2 rating)
Sea had 1 sack and 2 int's. Brady threw 2 TD's. (79.3 rating)
Pats have 163 net points (league leading). Miami is -15.
I would like to see pressure up the middle but we have to do it while rushing 4. Soliai has been disruptive as hell. Not sure why he comes out in all passing situations. Pressure from the middle forces Brady out of the pocket and he is not as good that way.
We can't blitz (more than 4) too much or he and Welker will kill us. Not to mention Hernandez.
Their outside guys/ouside game is/are nothing spectacular. Wes Welker runs slants and screens for the most part. TE's are on the seam. Brandon Lloyd has not been spectacular for an offense that is #1. 551 yards and 3 TD's. He's on pace for 800 yards.
Gronk is out.
We HAVE to shut down those damn screens. RB's and WR.
In fact, if we sweep the Pats, they'll have at least five losses and a division record of 4-2 and if we beat the Bills, we'll be 4-2 and have the tie breaker over New England should they lose one more game.
Haha Chyren, I definitely need some of what you are smoking. It is the NFL, and you never know which game is going to be the surprise of the season-but this game is one I have selected as to where I'm putting an 'all in' approach on the silver, red and navy blue.
Brady's Passer Ratings at Sun Life Stadium have been phenomenal over the last 4 games he has played:
121.6, 107.1, 101.5 and a perfect 158.3
The Pats pass defense did struggle early in the season, but since acquiring Aqib Talib, it has been a very different story.
They made a fool of the Sanchize, and pretty much shut down Luck.
They also have an emerging rookie CB Alfonzo Dennard on the other side of the field, who is looking better every week. Watch out for this team.
And wait there's more, they also have the advantage of a 10 day rest.
