It's a comparative grade based on where we stand as a team. If you don't want to play then take your ball and go home.

and actually it does matter....if you aren't ranked higher than 6th in the AFC after week 17 then we all go home.

NO. I predicted they rise to #16 before seasons end, but they are still only 2-5 . Yes , they played well enough to be 4-1, but 19 is quite appropiate at the moment. We will crack the Top half by seasons end.

Will 19 get us in a BCS bowl?

We are better than 13 NFL teams.......


I bet we win the bcs bowl with the 3rd stringers.

Correct. In fact I was looking for a choice in the poll that said "I don't care about power rankings."

I got 2 grandsons and they never let me forget things.

I think we're getting better, but the games we should have won are past us now, and the schedule get tougher.

- We needed the Jets & Cardinals wins, but they slipped by. As it stands we'll have to over achieve in a big way to recover for the 2 games that might have pushed us into the playoffs.
- Hate that we let the Jets game slide.

Coulda, woulda, shoulda ... but didn't.

Anyway, gotta give this to Philbin, at least we're improving and not waiting until game 6 to get a win.

To put in perspective what JC said below, MY NEPHEW who I always talk about being the 49ers fan was BORN in September of 1965 and as a senior in high school I baby-sat (AND I DO MEAN BABY SAT him) changed his diapers and burped him. So why wouldn't you be a young whippersnapper to me, even if you were born in 1961, you would have been 9 years old when I graduated from college.
