QB F -

Passing game

Ryan tannehill was on target to start the game. gave game away in just 5 minutes in the first half. NO turn overs in second half although he did pass the ball a lot.......SO THATS ENCOURAGING.......Batted down passes need to be corrected quick. He will get better i promise. 1 minute left in the game and tannehill sitting down with trainer and watching game on paper......I liked that.

Run Offense

OL C + Because of the fumble otherwise A Although incogninto stinks.

We did well against a superbowl contending defense. The texans are loaded and we ran well in the first half. Too bad we had to get away from the run in the second half because we were down.
Other than the fumble we did some good things.

Receivers C Because of bess and hartline otherwise F -

Other than bess and hartline we have nobody else.....Armstrong stinks.

TEnd...C -

Fasano is the only thing we got and he still aint that good..I think he cause 2 passes.

FB...A because of 1 play..

Please make some more plays for lane please....He gets one chance and takes it for about 20 yards.

________________________________________________________________

Defense....

Run defense A +

Considering we were going against two of the best runners in the league and a superbowl contender we did outstanding.

Pass defense D-

they have andre johnson enough said.

LBs..B+

Koa missi had 11 tackles if i remember correctly. He is zach thomas like....Almost....Burnet and darnsbi were in on some plays including passing plays and didnt do so bad either. This position is the least of my worries.

Dline...C+ because of starks with 2 sacks....Soliai did some run stuffing So that was good.

DBs...D- We do not have much depth at the db position and when you go against one of the best passing offenses in the league you are in trouble.

___________________________________________________________________

Special team A + +

The kicking and punt coverage was outstanding...

The kicking and punt retuns were even better.

One of the fews bright spot of the game.

____________________________________________________________________

Overall i give this game a D - Just because we did do some good things out there including stopping the run....we ran well in the first half but had to get away from the run in the second half because we were down..

Ryan tannehill did pass a lot in the second half and made some nice throws and no INTS.....Considering he is a rookie and going against a superbowl contender i give him a passing grade in the second half...

He needs to go into the endzone when we are at the 5 or 10 yard line though.....Those short passes just to make your statistics look good dont matter to the outcome of the game.

We will get better....I promise.

GO PHINS.

the only thing that deserves more than a C- is the special teams, which deserved an A. Man our standards have plumetted. Though you may have been grading on a curve--our D played pretty well for a college team

Cheer up guys there will be better days....

Did you really expect to beat the texans?

everyone says they have one of the best teams in the nfl...

Look at it this way....we really messed up in the last 3 minutes of the first half....Other than that we did well....

Just got to correct the mistakes and move on.

Its not like we are going to the playoffs anyways......

SamSam, you've got a point that they are supposed to be one of the best teams in the NFL. But if they can learn from Hard Knocks, how easy will it be for the rest of the teams on our schedule to learn from the tape of this first season Houston game.

Amen! I have thought the same since the preseason. Not sure what they were seeing in him. Kept hearing how impressive he was. Sure hasn't looked impressive in the games in ...well...ANY way.

On a different note. Is ANYONE but me wondering where all the 'athleticisim' and 'good legs' we were hearing about Tannehill having are? Are we SURE they weren't looking at Lauren?? smileys with beer/
But seriously I had visions of them scrambling him around like Tarkenton or Montana. So far he looks a lot like Henne when he drops back.

Whoever he throws the ball to chren. And id say bess and hartline in a good day would be B receivers...

We have no A receivers though.

I already explained it in another thread...The bet was if he started the season you would wear that tagline.....

Let me remind you again what you said.......you said....

LOL!

No way they will start Tannehill the first game of the season. NO WAY.

There you go.....that should put to rest what our bet was about.

I also forgot to mention.............Jake longs pro bowl hold....on this game.

Jake long gets beat and held the DE.

If he doesnt hold on this play tannehill gets rocked might have gotten injured even.

Even with the hold the DE still got to tannehill but the ball was already thrown.

This is the reason i say it was a pro bowl hold.

Oh yea, Tannehill looked just like Dan Marino eye rolling smiley

The ONLY reason he is starting is because option A got injured and option B looks lost in this system. Besides starting, I just don't see what you were right about. Heck, after the F- performance, I'm not sure you see it either.

Hey a bet is a bet, and I'm wear the tagline for a month. smileys with beer

It really wasn't an expertise bet anyway. It was a bet that more involved predicting what the unpredictable people who run this team would do.

An "expertise" bet would have been, for example, if Tannehill starts his performance will be "so and so".

Wearing the tag was a lot to bet on what decisions the management will make, particularly a management as stupid and unpredictable as ours.

But I guess both of you were foolish to make the bet in the first place. It's just that DK was the one who lost.
