The defense doesn't look good at all, very concerning , I remember what the defense looked like before Nolan, and I am obviously worried about how it will look after his departure.

DUH. You say that like everyone said he was. But what he does have is alot of promise and pontential .
RT has not played all that badly. He made good decisions with the ball, and showed a good arm and good accuracy...yes he's made a few mistakes and he needs to improve on a couple of things but, that is to be expected.
The team needs to tighten up on quite a few things after tonight's game (like pass rush, blocking, tackling, and holding on to the passes to name a few) but to be honest I expected no more...
Close to end of this exhibition game, got to say 17 has touch. Early but sort of reminds me of a fellow that wore 16 oh his jersey. The one from Flacco's school, interesting particularly in this last drive. Former Jaguar, unfortunate banged knee. For the Cowboy Panther, honestly no comment whatsoever.

Gannon? Lets hope 17 doesn't take 10 years to get good.
So the "pre-season doesn't mean anything" (your words not mine DFK) if they look good (especially Tannehill right?), but it means enough for you to start a thread bashing them in every aspect...........interesting
Tannehill made a number of very nice throws. He zipped it when he had to, and he used touch when he had to. The back shoulder throw to Pruitt was particularly nice, as well as the one to Wallace where he had to loft it over the underneath defender but also get it there before the safety got there. It was also clear he was comfortable with the system and changing calls at the line.
And you had to be impressed with Wallace, Pruitt, and Clay. Wallace did a nice job on some things that require polish, like sitting down in a zone.
I also thought undrafted rookie C Josh Samuda looked good. He did a nice job with the second unit.
The second team defensive line showed up to play, too. And that was impressive because it was Shelby, Aaitui, Randall, and Vernon. You're talking about an undrafted rookie, a practice squad guy, a 7th rd pick, and a 4th rd pick.

SHHHHHHHHHHHHH dont say he has postential...Thats taboo to dolphanking
Playing against the second and third team defense, Tannehill, looked OK, he had a couple nice throws, surely nothing to annoint him our savior.lol..... Again it was against the back up defense.... Weeden played against the #1 defense in his game...big difference... Chad Johnson had one ball thrown his way which he missed, and people are ready to kick him off the team.. smh... same people that want to annoint Tannehill after a few passes against back ups...lol...

lol... not in the first preseason game with 90 players on the roster... better then a college all star team that is the funniest thing I have heard today...lol..smh....

There is more talent between yesrtdays two team phins and tb than an all star college team crowder.
SamSam, just to give you a little insight into your statement... A college all star defense would be a team of the 11 best defensive players drafted... Guys like Luke Kuechly, Melvin Ingrahm Donte Hightower at LB, Mark Barron at safety, Morris Claireborne at CB, Dre Kirpatrick at CB, You get the point... That is not what TB second and third team looked like.lol... And every player that would have been on a college all star team, most likely lined up with the first team of the team they were drafted by...lol... COme on man, use your brain a little bit... I thought Tannehill looked ok, he made some nice throws, but lets not embellish into nonsense..

Not nonesense...just common sense....dont compare 21 year old kids who havent made the NFL and many become busts to established NFL players.
The majority of the 80 plus players in TB are already established nfl players..about 53 of them.
there is just no comparison.
Yes a lot of them from college make it and become great but they have to improve their game get on the weight room in order to play in the NFL.
The NFL is just a different game and a way faster game.
I didnt compare it to college you did.. But the eleven best defensive players from college that were drafted, are all working with the first team of their respective teams, are all not on the same team and are not what the TB back ups looked like.. seriously clueless if that is what you believe...

Yes they are working hard and getting in the weightroom , improving their game in order to make an NFL roster.
To be honest I wasnt really concerned with Tannehill, i thought he did about what I expected of him, with a couple nice throws that impressed me... The defense was my biggest concern last night. Without a defense like we have had under Nolan, we are not going to win very many games.. Our offense just isnt going to be productive enought to win games with a mediocre defense..
