I think the Dolphins 1st string offense and defense will get a stiff albeit short test this Friday. The Bucs have some nice talent on both sides of the ball. They are my underdog pick for the year.
Josh Freeman, Vincent Jackson, Arellious Benn (MCL sprain), Dallas Clark and Mike Williams should give the Dolphins a good workout in the passing game.
Carl Nicks, Davin Joseph and Donald Penn (calf strain- LT-replaced by Demar Dotson who is looking good in camp) make up a good offensive line and they have promising rookie RB Doug Martin who is winning over the starting position.
On defense they have Michael Bennett, Gerald McCoy (who has looked good in camp), Amobi Okoya & Adrian Clayborne.
The secondary features Talib, Barber, Eric Smith and injured rookie MArk Barron (toe).
I don't know many of the names of the 2nd string guys but I can't wait to see how RT matches up against the 2nd or 3rd stringers from Tampa.
So they are backups...they are still more experienced than rookies.

Oh, yea. Everything I write has that agenda. And I'm sure you know who really killed JFK.
Honestly, I really don't care how a rookie QB looks in preseason. Those games are meaningless, and the kid is just a rookie. I won't be sold on Tannehill until he does something significant in the regular season or playoffs.
I'm sure Tannehill will look great against second and third teamers this preseason. I'm sure that will make some of the denser fans start clamoring for him to start. And I'm sure the coaching staff will keep him nice and safe on the bench all year long.
Even if Tannehill sucks this preseason, the games won't matter.

Or perhaps you two are laying the ground work in case Tannehill ends up doing poorly?
Don't worry - I won't bash Tannehill if he sucks in the preseason game.
