Playoff teams 2012 (-5)

For the last 16 years, 5 teams that made the playoffs have failed to return the following year. Pretty interesting fact.

Which playoff teams from 2011 will fail to make it in 2012?

And what new teams will make it in their place?

2012 Playoff teams:

AFC: Patriots, Steelers, Ravens, Bengals, Texans & Broncos

NFC: Giants, Packers, Lions, Saints, Falcons & 49ers

Ravens, Bengals, Falcons, and maybe the Saints - Yeah I know I got bold putting th eSaints in there, but I think its gonna be harder than some think to get back there.

Way to committ. lol. Need 5 teams that will and 5 that won't.

If you eliminate 3 from the NFC and 2 from the AFC then you need to replace the same number of teams for that conference...and keep in mind you'll need 1 division winner from each division.

A contest just for fun.

Interesting question eesti.

Historically there's something like a 50% turnover from year to year.

In the AFC I think the pats and texans are locks to win their divisions. I think the ravens are a lock to get in as div winner or wc.

I think the bengals are out. I think the steelers are borderline.

I think the broncos will duke it out with SD for the west and the other will get a wildcard.

That leaves one wc spot for Pitt, cin, tenn, kc and the AFC east team that out performs expectations.

I'll guess: East- NE. North- RAVENS. South- TEXANS. West- chargers. Wc#1- DENVER. WC#2- TENN

I think the NFC will see a lot of changes.

I think the eagles or cowboys win the east and the other gets a wc.

I think the packers and bears both get in from the north.

I think the falcons win the south.

I think the 49'ers win the west in a romp.

I picked the Falcons to lose out only because of their defense which sucks and they have been every year since 08 if I'm correct.

I picked the TExan to lose out because they sort of backed in last year with a 2-3 record over the final 5 games and I'm not convinced Shaub or Johnson will stay healthy.

I'm good with that.

Like the stats say, someone who people didn't expect come in each year and thos that are expected to ... don't.

One stretch that just may surprise, though I didn't include it, may be a 1st year wonder out of Washington.
