I read a pretty good article about the offset language. It basicly said that the Dolphins have never taken offset out of their contracts. Pouncey who signed last year under the new CBA, had offset along with all other 1st rd picks and FA signed under Ireland. Also Jake Locker who signed as QB in pick number 8 last year under the new CBA, had offset in his contract. Based on what everyone else did around Tannehill this year with contracts. They gave Tannehill more money up front and earlier in order for it to be a give and take situation, to get the deal closed... Basicly adding offset, with out adding offset so to speak...
But the DOlphins standing point in the negotiation was supposedly precedence on of all our other players contracts on the team have offset, as well as Jake Lockers contract last year at #8...
