As much as some people complain about our organization, and as bad as we've been for the last decade plus... You really have to feel sorry for the marlins.

I know they have two championships in the last 15 years but how do they justify taking public funds for their new stadium and then dumping their best players halfway through it's 1st year in use?

Annibal Sanchez...Hanley Ramierez...gone.

Josh Johnson next?

Absolutely brutal.

What do you marlin fans think of the beating your team is taking in the national media today ...deserved or undeserved?

Just glad they are out of our stadium so we're not playing on dirt.

the Hanley Ramirez deal sent whats left of the fans, wondering what the hell are they doing? That seems like a tough one to swallow for most, he was the fan favorite... although I am not a big baseball fan anymore since the days of collecting baseball cards and watching the Yankess play preseason at little yankee stadium in Fort Lauderdale..

Since we're talking about an "ouch" moment in regards to a baseball team, albeit in Miami, what about an off-topic FOOTBALL QUESTION, albeit neither the Dolphins nor Miami.

What does everyone think about the Penn State sanctions?

Too easy because no death penalty?

Too hard because players and high school prospects had nothing with covering up for Sandusky?

Just right?

Exactly, they didnt have the most profitable team label when they were lobbying and got Miami to build the stadium for them and pay for taxes on the parking garage for them... The TV deal with there low salaries makes them profitable without selling any tickets...

Look at the Heat deal, they have never paid the city of Miami a dime in rent to use the American Airlines Miami since they have been in their what 6 years ... south florida politics at its finest... That is why citizens fight against giving owners money for stadiums, because the pretense is never legitimate IMO.

i hate the marlins and agree with etsi--the only time I give them any though was when I'd curse them during those phins game played on the dirst infield. now that they've got their own stadium than can stop ruining ours.

That and the revenue sharing that top market teams cough up to small market teams.

Their revenues are small but they get a big fat check from the league every year that makes them tens of millions of dollars a year in overall profit.
