Big difference to me on YB and JT in how they went about the change.
1. Yes both got cut and resigned - No problem with that for either with me.
2. JT played drama queen chicken with Parcells and lost out in the power struggle. The team needed a veteran leader and JT became uncharacteristically immature that year.
- I had always liked JT prior, cause he kept his mouth shut and led by example on the field.
- That year he played it all up in the press thinking he could shame Parcells into giving him his way, plus add in all the dancing with the stars drama and ughh ... not the same guy to me.
- Going to the Jets was played out in the media also and just made it a little worse.
3. Contrast that with YB. He played well, kept his mouth shut, waited a while ... evaluated his options and made the best choice for him. No media circus or knock down of the franchise. No problem.
The class act of the two by far IMHO!

You should be loyal to the fat tuna. After all he did way more for the Dolphins than JT ever did. Oh wait a minute...didn't he quit short of his contract?
It was the same result in the end. They both went to the Jets and that's what some people around here were complaining about.
YB got cut, JT signed with the Jets rather then wait till post draft to sign with us... If JT had not signed with Jets predraft, there is a good chance we would have resigned him, we resigned him the next year when he was a year older, what does that tell you? JT wasnt cut, he just didnt get his a new deal quick enough so he gladly bailed to the Jets... YB, got axed, big difference... JT never got cut by the Dolphins...
YB, got flat out cut in a bad way.... After the GM said he wouldnt... I dont blame YB, he is probably pretty pissed off at how he was treated by our GM... WHich is why he signed with the Jets... He wants payback, and frankly I dont blame him...

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

Had a good year here, TURNED DOWN a contract extension in November for Free Agency at the end of the year. Didn't get ANY offers until just before the draft from the Jets. Tried to get us to move off our stance of waiting until after the draft to see if we were interested. He signed with the Jets.
Bell got cut. Followed his old HC to NY.
I lose a little respect for Bell for putting on the Green and White, but he did get cut so at the end of the day, I can live with it.
JT blew us off TWICE and signed with the JETS the second time after TURNING DOWN Parcell's offer.
Fu@k JT. Taylor is a better player than Bell by a country mile, but I'll ALWAYS have more respect for Bell.

It's coming partly from the pipe and partly from dreams his psych would not approve of.

All of that was in the local media.
If you don't agree with it that's fine but I didn't report it.

I don't have a gripe with anyone on here except the douche bag that messaged me to tell me to go *&^% myself and that he would kick my arse. He is a giant pussy/keyboard tough guy. I won't mention any names but it was gnrbaby.
I love the debates/back n forth and don't know what I would do in the off season if not for you posters that are almost as insightful as I am.
