Fist pump?

Can you believe YB has been here since Dave Wannestadt was head coach?

Does he beat out LaRon Landry in NY?

I might be concerned if it weren't for the fact that our defensive scheme is changing.

I doubt he knows that much to give advantage on either side of the ball.

Thus all that's left is what he adds as a player. Hopefully we upgrade with youth and scheme and don't see any impact.

Best wishess to YB on all games except Miami ... play well but lose! Cause you are still in our division!

IMHO it's a real bad sign to have 100+ tackles as a Strong Safety. What it means is that you are giving up a ton of catches to your interior guys, usually the TE or the Slot Reciever and then making the "tackle" on them. YB's coverage has been in steady decline for years. Good move by Phins honchos to finally let him go.

I bet you now we won't have 100 tackles at the strong safety position and that means more TDs for the other team. I still hoped we could sign bell.....Its over now.

Good point...and if you remember...our safeties were supposed to be relatively interchangeable as well but Bell ended up playing in the box a lot and was more of a extra LB'er. It would be nice to have some guys actually play the pass and come up with some int's. Especially since most of the teams we play pass so often and we are in the nickle so often.

Compare his stats with Troy Polamalu if you don't get what I'm saying. Good Safeties cause INCOMPLETIONS... smiling smiley

I like Bell. I hope he starts for the Jets.

Can't wait to see him try to cover Reggie Bush.

Good point, we have given up too many completions, hopefully we have a little more pressure this year and tighter coverage.

I'm with Truth on the looking forward to what Reggie and Lamar do to defenses, also more TE passes too.

This offense will be fun to watch once it Gels.

Isn't it funny that, going back into history, from Wes Welker to Yremiah Bell, all of the Dolphin starters who have not been resigned or were traded end up starting for other teams? And doing well, as well.
