That quote tells me his "ringing endorsement" of Moore is PR crap. What is it that we have to be patient about? Getting a QB that can take this team the distance of course.

Actually he is saying that Tannehill is a bit of a stretch. That's the most objective, neutral interpretation of what he said.
Whether they should "stretch" for Tannehill was, in Marino's opinion, up to the Front Office but since logically, one does not have to "stretch" to get what is offered to him then I think the word "stretch" was being used as a noun and not a verb.
Unless you think Dan was talking about TRADING UP for Tannehill, then he was saying that Tannehill at 8 was a "stretch."
So I'm not so much alerted to any comment he was making about MOORE. I am much more fascinated by what the way he is back-handedly slapping Tannehill.
