So, you dont want Jeff Ireland?

I am 100% positive, that if Jeff Ireland is/was fired, Carl Peterson will be hired to run all football operations.

No Bill Polian, nobody else.

If Jeff Ireland is not here, then Carl Peterson will be.

My point? Well, its really a question.

Take your pick:

Jeff Ireland or Carl Peterson.

I dont think Peterson has any desire to be a GM again, but I do think he's advising Ross ALOT about how to run the Dolphins, and in part, I think that's why Ireland is still here. Carl Peterson was the first guy to hire Jeff Ireland in the NFL, and I think he still thinks fondly of him. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Peterson must be coaching Ireland. BOTH these guys are toxic.

Ireland and Peterson are buddies huh? Didn't realize that...it may explain a lot. I still think Ross is over riding things for financial reasons though. For example Cowher came up under Peterson and Schottenheimer (or was it Vermeil). So if it's a good ol boy thing WHY haven't we pursued him instead of these rookie (read cheap) head coaches?

I agree with Dolph on this one, I dont think Peterson wants to be a GM or will be our next GM

Look Ireland is ok.

Yeah he is a hard ass prick, however look at the resigning's.

He has a decent eye for drafting as well.

Just saying I want to see how this draft works out.

Here is an example after Jimmy Johnson who post himself catching fish all the time on twitter..
A fan tweeted Jimmy Johnson the other day and told him he would clean his fishing boat everyday if he would come back to coach the Dolphins... Jimmy said I love the Dolphins but the problem is the boat would never need to be cleaned if I went back to coaching

as a GM, Ireland is a very good scout

Yes he is a good scout, but I just think with time he will be a better GM.

I think he pressure's himself so much that it affect's his ability to be more a people person.

I hope he find's more peace so he doesnt scare off alot of future FA'S.

Who know's I think this year we will be ok, because I feel we will have a solid draft.

I really like Tannehill and I will drink the Kool-Aid. He was WR turned QB.

So he understand's route's better than most QB's in my opinion because he see's it from differant angle.

He has awsome pockett awareness, and a solid arm to make all the throw's.

His only knack is limited time as a QB, but really give him 2, 3 years he SHOULD!!!! not guaranteeing but SHOULD be a beast!!

Especially since he will be going onto a team like our's which has solid defense, and really a solid offense now that we got Murtha back, and HOPEFULLY we get a awsome WR in the second, or third round in this draft.

I have never questioned Ireland being a good talent evaluator, just his methods are detrimental to the organization

Perhaps Ross likes him in a similar wqay as he likes Peterson. He values him for player selection and running the budget (Business manager / GM) .

It is my opinion that Ross will get someone else to manage image better, and Ireland will not be taking the hits for executing GM role without all the carisma that people are looking for.

Yes I'd like to see a GM with both (like Polian perhaps) But even Polian has issues. I still can't figure out how the colts couldn't get someon better than Painter ove the 2-3 years Manning was having problems.

How does anyone even justify him as a number two QB? He sucks worse than anyone the FINS ever played ... yet no one is knocking Polian ... until this year they cleaned house ... bout time.

Miami - Fan base is guilty of giving waaaay to much credit to media hype rather than thinking issues and decisions thru.
