We need not fight this ole battle again but as much as I hate Bellicheat, I'll say again what he did was far LESS than putting a bounty on people that might not only END THEIR CAREERS but might result in permanent damage to them rendering them unable to live a normal life.
As I said before, it is one thing to want to hit a guy so hard that he begins to look over his shoulder and not concentrate on his play, but it is another to pay to see someone carried out of the stadium in a stretcher.
As I first posted when the scandal was revealed, I would have given them a lifetime ban from the sport.

That's the point, SamSam. That's what they were doing. Paying for injury as opposed to paying for hard play or good plays. Paying to knock someone out of the game which can ONLY be accomplished through injuring another player.

They deserved to be punished in a worst way then.....How about if they kill another player....They should had involved the authorities or police in this as well.
Yeah, I mean we've all seen a hard hit and go "Great play." Nothing wrong with a hard hit. But when you aim for the knees or ankles. When your intent is to actually injure then not only is that evil but silly.
Only a true criminal expects to do unto others what he does not want done unto him.
So assuming that these clowns were not criminals, what the hell did they expect this would generate around the league?????
They were stupid in NOT thinking that this same thing could have people zeroing in on themselves and certainly zeroing in on Drew Brees and trying to injure him.
Just stupid as well as evil.
