This is a moderated phorum for the CIVILIZED discussion of the Miami Dolphins. In this phorum, there are rules and moderators to make sure you abide by the rules. The moderators for this phorum are JC and Colonel.
what took you so long Beleprick is the type of thing I won't call him a person who would shoot you in cold blood then ask you why are you laying on the ground bleeding out and dying.
OR he will do ANYTHING to win. Must be nice to have that in a coach. I don't have to live with the prick.......I just want to win! Once. NE is on their 5th Superbowl appearance ..........just saying.
We went to Five, and after fag boy Brady leaves his run is OVER. I think in due time we will make it back, and have a very good team for years to come. Anyway the Queertiots lose today I say 28-17.
Maybe he cut the guy because of his kid-n-play haircut.
Don't you guys understand the team rules? It's okay for the coach to wear a Flashdance-style sweatshirt, it's okay for the QB to get hair transplants, but break out a hairstyle from the 80s and you're GONE.
What about the guy that got added to the roster? Other side of the coin says "Must be nice to be added at the last moment to play in the Super Bowl!!!", that BB is one swell guy.
I'm sure there's a sound football reason for this--he probably saw something on the Giants' practice tape yesterday made him think he needs an extra lineman. . .

Not really. Saban is a pussy and afraid of NFL players. Thats why he likes to push only children around.
He was on the practice squad....the other guy likely told his family and friends to watch...maybe flew his parents in...got all excited. He was on the roster that got them there.
Sure the other guy is happy...but you don't do that to a guy. I doubt the extra defensive lineman who hasn't played a snap yet is going to be the difference maker.
Well you know what they say you can't win if you don't cheat. Man screw that team their coach that faggot QB, and their spolied fickle yankee ass weird talking fans. Yeah that's right I said it. I can't understand what in the hell hell half of you say when you attempt to speak the queens English you losers. The Queertriots run is over, and Belecheat is done as a coach. Just watch what happpens in the offseason as the wheels begin to fall off of their circus wagon. I can't stand that team , and yes any time they lose especially the superbowl then it has been a GREAT NFL season.

I feel for you. I was in the Boston area for two separate periods, the summer of 1966 when the Lovin Spoonful (John Sebastian from Boston) had a hit out of "Summer in the City" and during the September to May periods of 1970-1973.
Then the Patriots were a joke. I was there for the inaugural game of the old Foxsboro stadium against the Miami Dolphins. Jim Plunkett was their quarterback, fresh from Stanford. The Patriots were simply no competition.
However, now it must be rough for a Dolphin fan given their recent success over the past decade.
But hey, what do you guys think of the fact that by winning the coin toss and DEFERRING, the Patriots scored 14 of their points, 7 on the last drive at the end of the first half and the other 7 on the first drive of the second half.
Yet the DOLPHIN MANAGEMENT WON THE COIN TOSS IN TWO GAMES IN A ROW AND ACCEPTED THE BALL INSTEAD OF DEFERRING something no NFL team ever does anymore. Can you say Brain dead.

When did the NFL begin allowing "defer" as an option anyway? How long ago was it? I seem to remember in the old days Shula would always take the ball if we won the toss.
ETA.. I guess it was 2008. seems like the defer option has been around for longer than that, though

ChyrenB --> I believe the deferring question comes down to the kickers. Kickers nowadays have much stronger legs then in years past, so the ball being kicked from the 35 yard line routinely sails into the middle part of the end zone or beyond. Returns have a median average of about 27 yards when factoring in penalties plus the yardage to be run out of the endzone--etc.
A kick returner, returning a kick from the middle to deep endzone, would most likely end up somehere in between the 15-19 yard line. Please view Dolphins early games from this season as an example...
So therefore most of the smarter special teams people figured the best thing to do is to take a touchback and start at the 20 yard line.
In the old days, a kick off from the 35 yard line would mostly go to about the 2 yard line, which would lead to field position somewhere beyond the 20 yard line and thus be quite advantageous for a team trying to draw first blood. So most teams would choose to play first upon winning a coin toss. I don't know why they moved it back to the 35 yard line, I quite enjoyed the 30 yard line kick offs (maybe too many injuries?)
