Are we the worst team in the league?

I don't care so much about the scores of preseason games, but man, I think we really have the worst talent in the league.

These are our only good players---I think even the browns can give us a run for the money.

Jake Long. Great tackle. Big whoop. So is Joe Thomas.
Reggie Bush. Decent scat back. More hype from his college days than a true NFL stud.
Mike Pouncey. Solid center on a below average OL.
Devon Bess. Solid #3 receiver on a good team. On the phins, the only guy who can even catch the freaking ball.

And that is IT on offense, maybe Rt will be a good player, maybe not, but he's not one now.

On D:
Cam Wake. One of only 2 guys on this team would could start on any other team.
Paul Solia. He's OK. No game changer or anything.
K Dansby. A little above average.

We've got a good K and P.

Anyone else? And PLEASE don't give me Sean Smith or V Davis!!

Everyone else is GARBAGE. Good job at that talent evaluation IReland!

Are we the worst?

I'm beginning to wonder.

It looks like the other "conspirators" are now posting.

Next up - the man on the grassy knoll.

At least the defense showed up against a pretty good offense in the first half. If we could just catch passes. This team needs to stop playing that worthless hot potato game and spend more time catching game like passes.

KC looks pretty bad, Russel Wilson killed them. Could be in the Barkley derby

We're not the worst. Our defense is solid and will keep us in games. We can run the ball well, which means we have a good chance to win against teams that don't have elite passing attacks.

Cleveland is on the clock, IMO.

Seattle, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Minnesota, Cleveland, and Miami
are the bottom tier teams I believe.

Who should we draft: Robert Woods, Terrance Williams, and one or two other WR's.

If there is a stud receive when we are on the clock, then I think that is the obvious choice. You would have to weigh that against a great linebacker though.

Receiver right now, is MUCH more important to this team than another linebacker.

Interesting watching the skins vs the colt is that nobody is dropping balls. How is it that all of our do?

We need to clean house in the WR department then comb the waiver wire.

Blaming the WR amazes me. Last year people were blaming the QB when we had nearly the same Receiving corp dropping the same passes.

who was blaming the QB last year? most of the blame I heard was directed at the defense (until they got in shape), Colombo, WR dropping passes, and poor red zone offense. I think everyone was pleased with Matt Moore's performance and was ok (or only slightly disappointed) with what Henne showed in the first 3 games.

People wanted a franchise QB because a franchise QB guarantees you a chance for the playoffs no matter what the rest of the team looks like. Tannehill obviously isn't a top QB but his talent gives him a chance to become one, which is why some people were excited when we drafted him.

It tells me that most fans can't evaluate a QB when the WRs are crap. It tells me that some fans act as though a QB solves all problems and then hypocritically blame the WRs when said QB solution looks like crap.

>I mean.......DUUHHHHHHHH...our receivers are crap!

Not arguing that. I'm just saying that Tannehill has proven NOTHING.

A top QB will solve a lot of problems. Our problem is that Tannehill is only a rookie and not yet a top QB. I disagree on the hypocrisy charge but there is plenty of idiocy going about, wherein people were clamoring for Tannehill to come in and solve problems, not realizing he is only a rookie. Also, most people were always blaming the WRs. You weren't here yet, but I can't tell you how many threads were started just so posters could bitch and moan about how many passes each WR/TE dropped that week.

No arguments here. Nothing proven but plenty of promise.

I disagree. A receiver SHOULD CATCH, in my opinion, 99.9999999% of the passes THAT HIT HIM IN THE HAND. The other .00000001% should be the one pass in his career that hit him in the hands when he was simultaneously HAVING A HEART ATTACK!!!!!!

Not saying you need tremendous YAC (yards after catch) but just Catch THE Damn Ball.

Everyone is going to drop a couple, but what we did last night was ridiculous. I watched two games today. Admittedly I didn't watch every play, but of those I did watch, not one pass was dropped. I was paying particular attention to that. Not one in two games, but I saw, at least, eight last night. How would that game have been different? I just listened to Mike Sherman and clearly he thinks it would have been a lot different.

Chyren, you misunderstand me or perhaps I didn't make my point clearly, I agree with the blame placed on the WRs. If the balls touches your hands or fingers, then you should catch it. I mean thats the rule from pee wee all the way to the NFL.

My point about the WRs was that people were not being hypocritical and only blaming the WRs this year. In fact, people had so many posts blaming WRs last year that it got redundant and a little annoying. I was pointing out to DolfanKing that people are not trying to "cover up" for Tannehill but are instead voicing legitimate concerns about other positions on the offense.

What's so amazing about it? If they drop a pass that hits them in the hands, is that someone else's fault?

I did not blame the QB last year.

OK, you didn't. Does that mean no one did?

All you have to do is listen to any sports call in show in South Florida, and you'd hear people blaming Henne for the drops. I'm sure many of those same people will now blame the WRs.

Maybe not on this message board. I don't know, I wasn't here. But if you got out to other message boards, or listen to the radio, there was plenty of "drops are because Henne isn't putting the right touch" or "drops are because Henne isn't placing the ball correctly" crap.

Truth is, Henne had a lot of days where he was on target the entire game. Yet there were always two or three KEY passes, on third down or for TDs, that would end up getting dropped. This has been going on for years, and still has not been addressed.

Changing from one QB that was dead accurate inside 10 yards to another QB that was dead accurate inside 10 yards, but only with less experience and a pick a round higher doesn't begin to solve the situation.

What this team really needs are WRs with hands. But instead, the pick was wasted on the same damned type of QB without ZERO attempt to address the root cause of this team's offensive woes.
