I've thought about this alot since you brought it up, I seriously doubt Peyton will pick a team in Eli's division, this would eliminate 3 potential suitors; Dallas, Redskins and Cardinals.

I don't think that will be an issue.
In fact they'd probably enjoy competing with each other.
I think the only team u can count out is the Jets.
NY is Eli's town. Peyton is to smart to try to crash that party and expose them both to the absurd media circus thar would surely accompany them playing in the same building.
I don't think the division rival thing matters at all.
We need to forge our own identidy. I'd like to see ROSS Grow a pair and demand they take a chance on RGIII.After that I'd give Flynn a shot if Philbin thinks he is worth rolling his carreer on. Manning's injuries are scary and hard to come back from. But thats what they said about Drew Breeze...........

Just wondering how that eliminated the Cardinals.

Am I dreaming it, or wasn't one of Eli's reason for not wanting to play for the Chargers the fact that they're in the same Conf. as Indy? (I said CONF Aqua, not Div!)

LOL!!! Wasnt that long ago and Arizona (Phoenix) Cardinals was in the NFC East!!
Manning is ONLY an option for us, in my mind, if he's 100% healthy and he will never be that again...so he's out.
Flynn is an option and should be the primary target because he'll be available long before the draft.
That leaves Griffin as the #2 option for us...and even if we do get Flynn, I wouldn't be against still trying to add Griffin, or Tannehill and lastly Foles.
No matter what, we need to have quality options as competition for Moore.

Manning is as good as there ever was, but having a serious neck surgery eliminates him from the pool, at least, initially. This is because I believe we would have to make a decision on Flynn and in the draft before we know about Manning's recovery.
RG3 and Luck are going to be too costly. We can't mortgage our future on them.
Therefore, I say that Matt Flynn is the most realistic possibility. I haven't seen enough from him so I am not sure, but his two starts have been impressive. In addition, nobody knows him better than Philbin so if he ends up signing him, then I think there would be good reason to be excited about him.
If Flynn is a no go, then we select someone like Tannehill, Foles or Osweiler in the 2nd. Weeden may be better than the others, but old so maybe him even later. Matt Moore proved he is servicable and could hold the fort if need be, while the rookie develops.
Finally, if you do stick with Moore and draft a developemental quarterback, then there is a remote chance that Manning gets healthy and cleared and then you take a flier. However, the contract must have stipulations regarding his health so as not to mess up cap space if it turns out that his neck limits him.

Sorry, my bad. I just saw you talking to A & O and didn't concentrate on the fact that you were responding to TT.

If you are holding out for luck you are going to have to buy the colts from the irsay's.
