I think they are manageable. Obviously getting a new QB is key, but the rest are fixable with the right coaches in here. As I see it, we need some help on OL (RT), another OLB, and a FS. These should be our top needs after QB. We could be decent next year---but we need to acquire our QB of the future this year
QB--with Moore, better than last year. He is a solid backup/spot starter. Perfect complement to the franchise-type guy we MUST take at the top of the 1st (luck, barkly, or RG3 only, anyone else is settling)
RB--good shape with Bush and hopefully an up and coming D Thomas. A very easy position to find anyway.
WR--It would be great to add a stud to the mix, but I think we need to spend our resources elsewhere this offseason. A Top QB would make all of these guys better. Mashall, a very solid WR except for endzone drops (let's stop throwing it to him there then?), Hartline/Bess passable WRS, Clyde Gates we need him to develop
TE--Clay could develop as our seam threat, he looks good. Fasano is also a solid "B" as a rec and runner. As with WR it would be good to upgrade if possible, either in draft or FA.
OL--Long and Pouncy (if healthy) are Pro Bowl caliber. RT is a turnstile. We need to add a good RT (NOT in the draft please but a vet from somewhere), and hopefully Jerry and Cary and Incgonito and maybe another player can round out the rest. OL along with QB is the biggest need on O.
DE--solid. Odrick is a good player, so is Starks. We need to resign Solia unless we switch to a 4-3 (which may make sense given how many DL we have vs LBs).
LB--Wake and the 2 ILBS are good. We are missing another OLB to start and depth. I'd like to see Misi moved inside. He's useless as a passrusher.
DB--We are set at CB, we need to upgrade at FS and find a replacement for YB who is OLD.
I think the biggest thing we need is a little "Luck", (no pun intended and not the Andrew type). Like drafting a QB, coaching searches are a crap-shoot, if we can get a little lucky and fill those 2 spots with quality guys, we will be a force in a year or 2.
Talent wise we are not that far away from being right there with the best teams in the league. (I know, I know, some will say I'm crazy.)
Teams needs: in no particular order.
1. LG...Incognito MUST be upgraded.
2. RT...Columbo, enough said, upgrade required.
3. FS...need a fast, big play, cover guy.
4. DE...a quick, fast guy as competition to push Starks.
5. QB...competition and a possible upgrade to Moore.
6. WR...need a big, fast guy with great hands...and did I mention FAST? Hartline should be upgraded.
7. TE...Gonzalez type guy that runs great routes and has the speed to get down the field. But Clay looks promising so far.
We should be able to add at least three of these, maybe even four, in this years draft if we play our cards right. The rest could wait until the following draft...depending upon free agency that is. We don't need drastic changes just incremental improvements at some key positions. That, and a really big dose of confidence, attitude, swagger, and Yes, a good supply of luck always helps.
As far as drafting a QB, I'll be happy with either Luck, Barkley, Griffin or Jones in the first round. Foles Tannehill, or Weeden would be the second round picks even though I think we really should take one in the first...I just don't want to waste picks by using them to trade up.

this off season we should be focused on getting our franchise QB and upgrading the OL in whatever ways we can. RT needs an upgrade. incognito needs to be upgraded. carey i can live with. we need to improve depth as well. if we can somehow retain our 2nd rounder then i think we must take the top RT otherwise we will have to look for one in FA. there are some good FA OG available that we could use to upgrade Incognito. FS, TE, WR, and OLB will have to wait another year unless we want to spend big money on someone like Mario Williams, Vincent Jackson, DeSean Jackson, or J Finley. those positions are solid anyways and can afford to wait a year to be addressed. Oline needs help now.

We need a pass rushing OLB WAY more than we need another DE. you don't even have LB on your list. Misi is a waste of space

completely agree. would you pay Mario Williams a bunch of money to lure him away from Houston? he would make our pass rush ridiculous with him, wake, odrick, and starks.

That's what people were saying when JT came back. I'm not sure how this would work. Who would play the strong side?

I agree....some depth on the the O line would be Nice too. But I disagree on Incognito, the man brings some serious needed attitude,
our big problem is QB. Everything else will either be improved just by virtue of having a great QB and/or are fairly easy fixes (the OL *should* be though we constantly screwed it up under Trifecta)
the QB position will help with other positions once we have an established franchise QB. in the first couple seasons he will need some help from the run game, Bmarshall, and the oline. if we get RGIII then he would probably make up for the oline immediately with his athleticism in avoiding the rush. but we cant expect a rookie QB with high potential to be a peyton or even an eli right away. we must have enough talent around him to help him progress. look at bradford, he is very good but they have almost nothing around him so it is difficult for his game to progress.

RE: No it isn't. No matter which QB we draft that person is only a possible upgrade to Moore until he takes the job and performs greatly on the field. Before that happens...he is only a possible upgrade and a new name behind center.
