Date: December 18, 2011 05:59PM Morrall and Griese split the AFC championship game against the Steelers, with Griese coming in for the second half. Griese played the entire Super Bowl VII, I'm fairly certain.
But Morrall was aptly voted MVP because he won so many games that year as a starter. Re: Purdue helps Purdue

But yes, Griese did play the entire SuperBowl and I did not mean to say he split time with Morrall. My use of "and" was to explain why it was fair to give Griese credit for the undefeated season by saying that he QBed the team in the SuperBowl.
