Earl Morrall and Griese quarterbacked the SuperBowl win over the Redskins although Morrall quarterbacked most of the season after Griese had an early season injury.

Morrall and Griese split the AFC championship game against the Steelers, with Griese coming in for the second half. Griese played the entire Super Bowl VII, I'm fairly certain.

But Morrall was aptly voted MVP because he won so many games that year as a starter.

I did not speak clearly. Berk said "earl morrel" and I was correcting his spelling. But yes, Griese did play the entire SuperBowl and I did not mean to say he split time with Morrall. My use of "and" was to explain why it was fair to give Griese credit for the undefeated season by saying that he QBed the team in the SuperBowl.

I should have been more careful.

Aw no problem...I usually don't miss a chance to discuss 1972 anyway. Hoping for us to repeat history!
