LOL. Whats you biggest complaint about the dolphins? they never had a good backup behind Marino. they never groomed anyone.

I'm just looking at a good backup plan. You never said what to do if we win a few and are out of the Top 5. What if some of those QB's stay in college like Luck did? What if no one is available?

Mallet is a great Plan B. Whats yours?

I think Andrew Luck will be better than Matt Barkley, but I think Barkley is a sure #1 pick in almost any other year. I like the guy and I will be flat thrilled if we get him. I've actually been on the Barkley bandwagon for a while now and I'm glad to welcome you guys aboard.

I would be happy if we drafted either Barkley or Jones. But who knows - maybe Matt Moore will decide that he wants to be one up on Brady and become a superstar undrafted free agent. Hmm?

We still draft a QB if Barkley or Jones if available to play behind him and push him. Hell we could do a New England and even trade one down the line if they continue the success.

The thing about Moore is his inconsistency. He'll play lights out and then get into slumps of turning the ball over.

He did great stepping in for Delhomme when he got injured, and beat some really good football teams. Did good enough for Carolina to name him the starter and release Jake after he signed a hefty contract. Then Moore gets into turnover mode and look what happened.

Of course I agree that he's no Kurt Warner. I think Moore makes a solid backup though, and definitely yes, this team needs to draft either Luck, Barkley, or Jones.

Moore is garbage.

I'm not sold on Landry Jones. He played the dead ranked last pass defense (120th out of 120 schools!) recently and completed less than 50% of his passes.

From what I've seen, he's late getting his throws out and he stares down his guys. Cannon arm? Great. Chad Henne has a gun, too.

Anyway college players have whats called draft stock, you can be a top 5 prospect in the middle of the season and fall out of the first round come draft time, positions juggle all the time. And i think you understand my point that just because we might end up with the #3 pick that does not mean that we cant draft luck. I truly was happy being a Miami Dolphin Fan rather then a New England fan in 2007.
